Cool beer, maybe juuust a touch older than ideal. Clear copper orange pour. Aroma and flavor are balanced, fresh hops, candied citrus and toffee, caramel, light spice and a fruitcake like aftertaste and nose. Light to medium bodied. Gerbeer (4352) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JAN 19, 2018
Pours a clear copper with light head. Aromas of candied oranges, toffee, pine, spice and sweet doughy malts. Flavors follow same with additional resiny pine and definite spruce. JStax (7521) - Devola/Marietta, Ohio, USA - DEC 14, 2017
500 ml bottle poured into a brandy snifter. The beer is a clear amber with a fluffy head of white foam. Good head retention. The aroma grainy and herbal. Nice crisp doughy character. There’s also a pleasant green tea herbal aspect. Medium body and medium carbonation. Not too shabby. cruik (70) - - DEC 8, 2017
This one was had straight from the bottle. The immediate impression was strongly of orange zest. The finish was sweet and floral. A good balance of malt and hops makes this very drinkable. Heidbummer (1159) - SCOTLAND - FEB 18, 2017
Pours copper, foamy white head. Honey and toffee on the nose. That sweetness continues on the taste, with malt and cinder toffee too. It’s pretty sweet and needs something to cut it a little, but it’s smooth, well made and is tasty.

Very pretty copper pour, unexpected as a winter ale with a light sweet body against more bitter spicyness luttonm (7218) - Seattle, Washington, USA - DEC 13, 2016
Growler Guys, Seattle. Clear copper amber flavor, soapy rich cream. Quite robust and fresh hop flavors on nose. Perhaps whiffs of spice and forest. Richer, spicy body with a peppery finish. Warming body, rich coating finish. Nice bitter element. I haven’t had a winter like this, but it’s right up my alley. rudolf (2360) - Buffalo, New York, USA - NOV 27, 2016
Rich copper, slightly off white head. Nose is v. Light caramel along with pine, slight peanut, fruity cotton candy. Flavor is a great balance of Piney hops & crisp caramel and toffee. That peanutty character comes out a bit in the finish and harshes it up a touch. Still a really nice beer. WABeerFiend (426) - - NOV 13, 2016
Bottled on 10.26.16. A: Cat pee, passion fruit, and mango. A: See through golden body. T: Follows the nose, but there’s a lot more going on. Grapefruit, toast, orange, and pineapple are additions. P: Astringent with resin. O: I’m surprised by the reviews. It’s a mess of flavors and it’s acidic going down. BuckeyeBoy (9471) - Boise, Idaho, USA - NOV 10, 2016
500ml bottle pours out a crisp amber topped with a sand head. Nose is big pine hops crisp rich caramel malt sweetness. Taste is more of the heavy pine hops and a nice malt balance. Man this is great. I was debating to drink this tonight wasn’t sure if I wanted some spice and all that. But nope bam hops ya.
