2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Deep brown or close to black. Faint scent of roasted malt. Watery, dominated by unpleasant bitterness and too light on the palate. Too light to be a real Schwarzbier. This used to be a better beer.
Draught @ Die StammKneipe. Opaque dark brown with large foamy beige head, sweet roasted malt aroma, medium carbonation, slightly sweet roasted malt taste, smooth body, longish finish. A bit sweet but easy to drink. drjay44 (3799) - Salida, Colorado, USA - JUL 28, 2017
500 ml can. BBD 09/12/17. Pours a minimal, very short lived, light beige head, with no lacing, over a clear brown (SRM 20) body.......nose is roasted malts with hints of cocoa, light cola spice, minimal hops, no esters......taste is hints of mildly sweet, with light malt flavors, mild cocoa, becoming drier, with mild hop spice, and finishing slight bitterness, no esters.......mouth feel, light body, no alcohol, moderate carbonation. This beer meets the style fairly well, and is clean. light, refreshing but highly simple in aroma and flavor so rather boring. Bottle from brewery in Pfungstadt, Germany. Sweet and roasted malts, like a dark lager chimayx (135) - FRANCE - JUL 21, 2017
Draft pour pint at Special Brews. A dark, cola brown pour with a pale white foam head. Off My ssweet, toasty malt aroma. Taste is viciously metallic for me. Sweet malt, and a cool finish. Metallic is all I look back in this for. Jas some decent qualities, but as an overall, just okay.

(Draught at Café Pigo, Duved, Sweden, 22 March 2017) Dark brown colour with brief, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with dark bread, roasted grain and a touch of chocolate. Malty, roasted taste with notes of dark bread, roasted malt and chocolate. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Tasty and well balanced. Quite enjoyable. Cola brown with a cream colored head. Aroma of light caramel and coffee. Malty with a molasses aftertaste. Thin bodied with a quick finish. Ok beer but lacking depth and complexity. Borup (15157) - Albertslund, DENMARK - MAR 22, 2017
