Can from Rewe, pours deep gold with a fast-settling head and a grassy corny nose. Dry-bitter, a bit thin bodied and one-dimensional. I’ve had worse, but this is a bog-standard mass-market Pils. GoufCustom (1979) - HONG KONG - NOV 10, 2015

500ml green bottle bought at Great Food Hall in Pacific Place, Admiralty.
Pale golden yellow colour; Two finger head and crumpety white foam which lasts for 3 minutes; Excellent sticky lacing with quite active small carbonation; Slightly pungent aroma of Pils malt, with initial light skunk (gone in 1 minute), floral, light pineapple ester, sugar, strong bread, thin lemon and grass; Med to strong sweet taste of malt, with initial strong metallic, strong floral, light fruity ester, sugar, light bread, strong lemon, strong bitter hops and sharp grass; Mid to light body. Crisp and slightly slick palate; Mouth feel is pretty good Pils maltyness in a lean dry background. Very hoppy with strong presence of floral and some fruity ester. Sweet but balanced by equally strong, German Pils-level lemony bitterness. Pretty good!... Hoppiness is quick light skunk, floral, light pineapples, thin lemon and grass in nose. Floral, strong lemon and sharp grass in taste. Bitterness is very strong, German-Pils level for a lasting, very high-astringent sweet and bitter finish; Quite dry after taste. Sweet and very hoppy to mouth.
Comments: Archetypical German Pils, malty, somewhat lean but flowery and very hoppy and bitter. A little heavy on the sweet side but otherwise quite bold and beautiful for the style. Pretty nice!
Appearance: clear pale straw, one finger of rocky white head, good retention and patchy minimal lacing. (3/5) Aroma: grainy pale malt, grassy. (6/10) Taste: moderate sweet, mild bitter. (6/10) Light body, lively to moderate carbonation, crisp dry and astringent bitter finish. (3/5)
I like the sharpness of the finish, which comes across almost as fresh-cut grass, but other than that, nothing remarkable. Pretty simple and straightforward, with not a lot to distinguish it from any other number of pale Euro legs or Czech style pilseners. Perfectly OK with supper, though. Aus der Dose. Trifft geübt den Geschmack eines charakterlosen deutschen Pils. Ohne jegliche Ecken und Kanten. Okay, aber austauschbar. DuffMan (10276) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - SEP 30, 2015
Can, shared with Rockley. This was the best of three offerings we tried from this brewery, and it was a pretty average pils to say the least. A tad thin, cereal malts, and with a mild hoppy bite. ok. patricks110 (2486) - Alberta, CANADA - SEP 22, 2015
Very easy going, nice sipping pils. Pours a bright straw colour with a thin off white head, soapy looking. The nose is a bit grainy and a bit skunked and mostly non-existant. Very light and almost watery. Simple brew! Bamsen78 (5336) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - AUG 21, 2015
Bottle. Pours clear golden with stable white head. Clear aroma of malt and hops, with some estery notes. Bitter, hoppy flavour, with subtle, sweetish malty notes and touches of yeast. Bitter aftertaste with mild estery notes. Clean and quite well-balanced. An okay Pilsener. reebtogi (6240) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - AUG 20, 2015
500ml can pours a clear pale golden color with a finger and a half of white head that leaves some spotted lacing on the glass. Aroma is grassy and grainy. Taste is a grassy hop bitterness with a light malty sweetness. Grainy mouth feel. Light bodied with moderate carbonation. Overall, a typical pilsner style brew.
