From noted. Enjoyed at Blauer Aff with Jeff for dinner before I leave for Austria on November 12. On draft. The pour is a thin and light clear golden yellow with a thin white head that fizzles out quickly. The aroma is light and crisp. There is a metallic malt and a light corniness to it. It’s clean and plain. The flavor is much of the same. Light metallic malts, with a bready and corny body. I’m not feeling it. The mouth feel is light and watery with a brighter carbonation and a lingeringly sweet and metallic corn out the back end. Ugh.

Moravius (1192) - Beijing, CHINA - MAY 9, 2016
Flasche (50 cl) aus einem REWE-Markt. - Goldgelb, blank.

500ml can. Grain/straw aroma. Classic golden pilsner appearance with small white head. Malty grain flavour with some bitter citrus notes. Medium body and a crisp bitter finish. Good pilsner.

hauxe (518) - Butzbach, Hesse, GERMANY - FEB 7, 2016
Pours gold into the bottle with a rich, creamy head. Decent lacing. Aroma is a bit malty, and more skunky than I would like, though the skunkiness does fade. Medium bodied and well carbonated. Flavor is grassy, hoppy, grainy, rather rough around the edges. Dry lightly bitter finish. No surprises here. Another decent if unexciting German pilsener.
