Pours a rich amber color with a light beige head. Smell is nicely hoppy and fruity. Nice . Taste is a bit milder but still fruiy and pleasantly hoppy, but with a light bitterness compared to the smell. Medium to light bodied and normal carbonation. Pretty good.

On tap @ Phantom Canyon poured a clear reddish amber with a small lasting light amber head. Aromas of carmel, citrus and light pine. Palate was light to medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of carmel, earthiness and light citrus with a smooth lightly bitter finish.

Draught at the brewery. Beer is hazy, moderately-to-very dark red-brown. Head is small, white, frothy. Diminishes mostly and quickly, eventually disappears.
The aroma is malty with a light note of toasted grain; Hoppy with a moderate note of herbal resin/pine, light note of lemon zest; Yeasty with light notes of sweat and basement; Trace of tropical fruit.
The flavor is moderately-to-heavily acidic, moderately bitter, lightly-to-moderately sweet with a long, unclean, moderately acidic, lightly bittersweet finish.
The body is light, the texture is watery and the carbonation is average.

[Colorado Road Trip – 2006] This was a deeper orange color brew. Has a hard time with the over malty flavor vs the hops being a tad subtle. I was not a huge fan of this brew.

Tap at brewery. Pours a deep amber with a light, hoppy aroma. Hoppy flavor with a sweet, sugary finish. Coating palate. Good stuff!

on tap-pours a tan head, color is brown. Aroma is grain & sweet. Taste is malty and then the hops come through boldly. This was their best beer of the batch I had, very nicely done.

had this in eary july while the family was in the springs for flemdawgs wedding on the 2nd. from the tap. poured a nice amber with off white head that didn’t hang around for very long. aroma nice malt and hops come out with some caramel. flavor, those hops came right out there which I wasn’t expecting since most ambers I have had are not this hoppy, but since I do like hops I enjoyed this.did get some caramel .

henry3r (586) - Wichita, Kansas, USA - JUN 26, 2005
From the tap, this beer poured slightly hazy, amber in color with a very small white head that didn’t last long and left almost no lacing. There was good floral hop aroma here with little if any malt noticeable. The body was light with good carbonation. The texture was thin and the beginning was hoppy. It had a slightly bitter middle and a long hoppy bitter finish.

SledgeJr (3577) - Omaha, Nebraska, USA - FEB 13, 2005
On tap at the brewpub. Rich amber color with a yellowish ivory head. Classical cascade hop aroma making this look, smell, and taste like a Colorado brewpub ale. Good, but not great.
