COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Originally brewed by Barclay Perkins Brewery, Southwarke, London as the tide was beginning to turn for allied forces in World War Two.

Burton Ale is a practically extinct style named after the city that produced it. For centuries, Burton upon Trent has been associated with the brewing industry due to the quality of the local water. Burton Ale is a pale and well-hopped style of beer was developed in Burton in parallel with the development of India Pale Ale elsewhere.

Tap. Pours clear amber with a medium, frothy white head, medium retention with good lacing. Aroma is biscuit and cereal malt, citrus and pine hops with fruity esters. Flavor is heavy hops and bitterness with fruity esters, supporting malt and a dry finish. Medium body and carbonation.

On tap at the brewery. Pours hazy orange with a short-lived white head. Aroma is of ripe fruit, some citrus notes and caramel. Body is medium and slightly crisp. Caramel and biscuit malt, herbal and piney hops and ripe fruit fill the mouth. Long dry finish. Tasty brew.
