Draft Sellwood Public House; Nice head more of an amber pour. Well balanced for and IPA had the hop and the piney flavor but finished without the traditional IPA bitter bite. It’s a different IPA but good. Aubrey (3516) - Bellingham, Washington, USA - JUN 17, 2012
Bottle: Solid IPA. Mild carbonation. Rich malt flavors. Chalky cocoa, light toast, and subtle caramel. Zingy, flavorful hops. Earthy, herbal and floral. Fantastic hop aromas. Great balance between the sweetness and bitterness. Nothing overpowers anything else. Kind of rides the line between English-style and American-style IPAs. Good stuff. bhensonb (15345) - Woodland, California, USA - JUL 10, 2012
Bomber from Harry & David in Medford, OR. Pours clear copper with a 4 finger creamy beige head. It’s alive! Aroma of a sort of nutty roasted malt with something floral on top. Med body. Still seems a bit nutty, but now there’s resin to go with the floral. Citrus? Don’t thinks so, cause there’s not a hint of citrus sour. Or zest. Very over the pond, except for the ABV. Tasty drink. davidd (7) - Alabama, USA - JUL 14, 2012 does not count
A decent IPA. Hazy amber with good head. The malt profile didn’t work for me, wouldn’t be my first choice. But probably goes great with food. bpreo (2860) - Eugene, Oregon, USA - AUG 2, 2013
Came in a nice big bottle. Great taste, I wish I could have had even more to drink.

Pint at Ventis Taphouse..billed as Phat Matt’s English IPA. $4.75 per imperial pint.
Nice golden ,deep and clear good sized white had.
Quite a deep hoppy aroma forman "English" IPA..grassy,herbal.
Again the taste is very agressivly hopped for the purported style but a pleasing Oregon IPA deep resiny, herbal hoppiness plus a good caramel malt back.
I found this less "dank" then the regular PNW so maybe this should have been billed as a NEW England IPA.
If you ignore the billing the mouth-feel was excellent
Overall a good IPA but please this is not English style BrewDad (5328) - Olympia, Washington, USA - FEB 16, 2013
Amber in color, clear with a thin head. Nice IPA flavor and finish. Good malt backing this was a very tasty IPA. jgb9348 (6324) - Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA - APR 8, 2012
Rich hazy deep amber coloured body with a copper highlight and a nice, dense three cenitmetre tall tan head. Aroma of rich caramel malt, english hops, some toffee sweetness and a touch of more bittering, grapefruity hops, but not much. Medium-bodied; Rich malty body and mouthfeel but a less than stellar hop experience with a sweet, caramel, raisin and toffee flavour and a hint of bitterness at the end. Aftertaste has mostly an earthy bite, some good alcohol and a deep english hop flavour that is more like and ESB or traditional EPA than an American IPA at all. I sampled this 65 cL bottle as my first beer back from a week with mostly lagers in the whole of Asia, so this was a welcome and flavourful treat. This bottle was purchased at Belmont Station in Portland, Oregon on 28-February-2012 for US$4.46 sampled at home in Washington on 08-April-2012. 5000 (6862) - Hardened Liver, Washington, USA - JUN 20, 2012
Bottle:   Hazy orange, a little dirty, moderate to large rocky sandy head, nice lacing.   Pale bitterness up front, a little citrus peel and pith, but overall not too biting.   Has a slight sweet grassy aspect.   Minor pith on the nose, pale bitterness.   Not a bright example.   Fairly clean, average aroma and flavor profile.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Decent IPA, but nothing out of the ordinary when so many exist. riversideAK (6261) - Shoreline, Washington, USA - JUL 29, 2012
Not bad for the price point. $3.50 I think. Nose of toffee, peppery and earthy hops. A little sugar and a little caramel. Pours copper, off white head, soft lace. Flavors of toffee, light biscuit, caramel, peppery and earthy hops. Not unpleasant. Fairly unassertive but easy to drink. Decent beer.
