Bottle:   Deep brown, thin sudsy light beige head, spotty lacing.   Bright roasted malts, some dark chocolate and what appears to be suble wintergreen or peppermint like spices.   Odd... Perhaps its very fresh pine?
Very moderate on the tongue, not as roasty.   Malts are toasted, chocolate is subtle, and hops are very minimal.   While having a decent malt base, slightly chewy, its neither very roasty or all that hoppy.   Beginner
Porter?   Sweet finish, toasted malts, slight chocolate or cocoa, with little bitterness.   Not all that big, but for what it is I guess its very unoffensive.   Perhaps a good entry to the style, without overblowing any
aspect of the characteristics.   Good, clean finish, but a little pedestrian.   I would say worth a try at least!   Lingering bakers chocolate. after4ever (8025) - Mukilteo, Washington, USA - DEC 17, 2012
22. Pours black with a scant, filmy tan mist across the top. Fairly subdued chocolatey nose. Creamy medium body, a little on the flat side. Nice big forward sweet milk chocolate mid palate with a bit of cocoa. Appealing sweeter porter with a creamy sweet finish.
