3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
THOUGHTS: Lots of spices. A little like a wit and a Belgian blonde had a baby. Bottle was a little old at the end of the summer, so I imagine that fresh it would be even more flavorful.
TECHNICAL: Bottle. Poured a dark yellow to a light, brownish orange with a small, slightly off-white head that nearly fully diminished and left virtually no lacing. The aroma had moderate light bread and cookie; light to moderate dusty and spicy yeast; chamomile, lemon and other spices. The initial flavor was lightly sweet and light to moderately acidic; while the finish was lightly sweet and sour, and moderately acidic with and average duration. There was pale malt, light bread, cracker, cookie, lemon, chamomile, pepper, slight ginger, other spices, and lots of dusty yeast. The light to medium body was fairly dry with very tingly carbonation and a dry and lightly astringent finish.
On tap at the brewery. Pours a hazy gold with small white head that lasts. The aroma is earth, ginger, floral. Medium body, lemon zest, ginger, tea, floral, light dry finish, good. altonbrownd (5897) - Chevy Chase, Maryland, USA - NOV 13, 2016
Bottle from Parkway Corner (Philadelphia.) Hazy light amber body with fast-receding head. Nose is oranges, spices, burnt caramel. Taste is fruits, oranges, mango, spices, caramel and toast. Creamy. Punchy finish. Decent. raymow (1650) - Bensalem, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 12, 2016
bottled - pale golden and cloudy unfiltered spiced brew. Flavor of spice and slightly Belgiany. Just ok - nothing special. Bulk_Carrier (6065) - Vermont, USA - JUN 9, 2015
Rated as a Belgian Pale ale, this was poured into a tulip.
The appearance was a hazy golden yellow color with a sustaining one finger white foamy head. It must have lasted a good two minutes before dissipating and leaving a subtle sticky lacing around the glass.
The smell started off with the ginger pretty strong and gently leading to the lemongrass, sweet and fresh. Light citrus (mainly orange and lemon) back up the aroma nicely.
The taste was sweet and spicy through the citrus combining through the ginger. It leaves a ginger aftertaste and has no finish.
On the palate, the ginger does take the lead and lets the carbonation come across fairly subtle. It sits about a light to medium on the body with a decent sessionability about it.
Overall, I say this was a pretty good beer with a nice feel to Spring time. As a Belgian Pale ale, I didn’t get as much yeast as expected but still good. BroadestTom (446) - Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 25, 2015
Aroma cooked vegetables,
Appearance golden, hazy, cloudy, minimal head,
Taste light sweetness,
Palate medium body,
Overall not my thing but I didn’t drain pour it so if a friend was into this style I would suggest it to them.

Clear golden body, medium sized white head, sparse lacing. Aggressive ginger, grass, florals, and citrus. Grainy cereals also come through. Medium to light bodied, lively carbonation, a touch sweet, abrasively spiced. Jay_Dubbz (103) - Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 2, 2014
Poured from 12oz bottle. Very light and refreshing. Would be perfect for a hot summer day. A little overly powerful with the lemon grass, but great mouthfeel with the unfiltered style.

Bottle with a great pic of Shibe Park on the front. Nose of lemon cleaner and somehow the nasal feeling of chicken wing bones and moist towelettes, must be a sense memory association. Pours hazy dark golden with a rocky white head, strong yeast forcing a rise up the neck elevator. Taste lemon and yeast, lemongrass and various herbs, light wheat malt, really pleasantly floral with low bitterness but scratchiness of the coriander type. Medium body crisp and tart, not that sweet, this is on the weird side but pleasant enough. Beerathon (1683) - Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 12, 2013
Very interesting. The Belgian yeast is evident, as well as a distinct lemony flavor. Smells like a flower and it’s in the flavor too. Liked it because it’s different, but couldn’t drink more than one.
