Variety pack: pours copper with a white head. Aroma is piny and lightly fruity. Taste is somewhat bitter and pretty malty. Not a bad IPA, but nothing that is grate. raymow (1602) - Bensalem, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 31, 2015
on tap at Dog & Bull in Croydon - a good IPA. Hoppy and sweet. Extra points for using local Kensington/Fishtown hops! Pretty good stuff. ryanscourt (1458) - Latrobe, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 10, 2015
Hazy light brown with a nice frothy head. Bitter hop flavor with funky watery body. Eh. callmemickey (4542) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 3, 2014
Golden-orange body, medium sized white head, soapy lacing. Grapefruit, pine, grassy, floral notes, caramel malts. Has a bit of the vegetal/green wet hopped profile going on. Medium bodied, moderate to gentle carbonation, mild bitterness. obxdude10 (2324) - Pottstown, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 10, 2013
Loved this IPA! The beer poured a dark straw color with a pure white head that left some beautiful, sticky lacing around the inside of the glass. The nose was extremely hoppy and dry. It was almost offensive (in a great way!) The body was perfectly balanced and the mouthfeel was alive and spritzy. The flavors were all hops! Dry, spicy, abrasive, flowery hops. I got some subtle hints of lemon, grass and yeast. The finish was very dry and flowery as well. Very nice IPA!

Much better this year then years previous. Poured orange or gold, notes of pine, grapefruit, herbs, and skunky grass. Sessionable but a little thin. Maybe the best PBC beer but we all know that isn’t saying much. NikkTwist (3200) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 30, 2013
UPDATED: NOV 1, 2013 Dradt at Good Dog. Poured a clear gold straw amber with soft foamy tan head. Strong bitter hops with a vanilla caramel backbone. Litter box. Grapefruit pith. Glossy mangos. Kumquats. Shiny pineapples. Taste is a bit weird but worthwhile. Maybe a bit too funky. ROGUE (2215) - Lewes, Delaware, USA - OCT 5, 2013
22oz bottle. Pours a dark deep brown color with an off white head and lots of lace. Smell is floral and piney.Taste is caramel, slight peppery spiciness, some wet grass, big earthy notes, light grapefruit, and a moderate bitterness. Medium body, prickly carbonation. ganache (5855) - New Jersey, USA - FEB 6, 2013
UPDATED: OCT 9, 2014 Woohoo, 50th rating for this one. Bomber with a nice label and the funny remark "sextuple hops brewed". Crystal and caramel in the nose, picking up more doughy and spicy notes, a lot of earth and darker roast, but not a lot of fresh hops, probably signs that this bottle has gone down hill a bit. Some booze showing. Pours a gradient dark amber with a quick-developing, tiny-bubbled tan head, almost Belgian in character (crossing my fingers crossing my fingers). Taste is nice and bitter, some light sweetness to balance but that’s dwarfed by the numbing alcohol. Light mineral, barely fruit, still tastes fresh even with such subdued hops. Fullish body with a little grit and pleasant late-coming chest warmth. Rating with a grain of salt, and desire to try this on tap some day. 12 oz bottle this time, very fresh ("BOTTLED ON 10/2/14"). Ugh, a downgrade even from last year’s mess - malt is unconvincing, hops are waaaay too green and off-putting, and though there’s more control over the alcohol and yeast, I’m still repelled. [2014.10.09: 2.7]

Surprisingly dark brown opaque beer. Little pale tan head. Light crispy palate. Good malt base, even a touch of roasted malt. Piney bitterish hops on top. Trace of hop fruit. Dry finish. Toasted malt again in the aftertaste. Interesting beer. Just not a very pale India Pale Ale!
