Rich deep dark brown coloured body with a thinnish, one centimetre tall off-white head. Aroma of coffee, roasted malt, nuts and a bunch of earth. Medium to Light-bodied; Strong coffee flavour at first with some maple syrup and a touch of toffee, all with a lot of alcohol and even more bitterness. Aftertaste shows some richness from the coffee, a good amount of roasted malt and a faint instant coffee like flavour. Overall, a decent coffee based porter that is a touch watery, but not bad at all. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle brought after a hockey game by Ed (from Philadelphia) on 15-January-2014 in Arlington, Virginia - Thanks Ed! Bottle pours dark brown with tan head. Aroma of roasted malts and java. Flavor dominated by freshly ground coffee beans, roasted malts, semi-sweet chocolate, and light spices. Has a great earthiness. Very drinkable. Voodoo (694) - Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 26, 2013
Pours a deep brown with little head. Aroma is heavy almost barnyard earthiness, sour smell, coffee. Taste is thin, wisp of coffee, earthiness dominates. callmemickey (4561) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 10, 2013

Local pride. Bottle shared over a Troma horror film. Aroma is black coffee with slight iron. Pours thin and black with a forgettable white head/film. Taste is roast coffee, some dark fruit, and a roasty metallic taste. Light mouthfeel but it goes down easy. Nice to knock these back if you like coffee beers. 12 oz bottle from a friend’s sampler case at a weekend at Hidden Valley. Overall it was thin and insipid, lacking the intensity that a coffee porter should have. ryanscourt (1518) - Latrobe, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 25, 2013
Ok porter. Not a big fan of coffee as usual. This one is pretty light and pretty simple. A little malt flavor comes through and some hop balance at the end. However, its a pretty straight foward experience - consisting of, as advertised coffee flavor. riversideAK (6261) - Shoreline, Washington, USA - MAR 10, 2013
