Opaque black with little to no head. Aroma of roasted coffee with a malty flavor and a hint of bitterness at the end. Pretty good porter but a little thin and not as hoppy as I would like.
From tap. Pours hazy dark brown with a deep amber galre, small tan head. Aroma is roasted malty, coffee herbal. Dry, bitter, herbal and coffee. Bitter and solid coffee finish. r464 (2360) - Earth, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 13, 2016
Dark, roasty malt. Coffee and cocoa, some toast and a light fruit as well (cherry, raisin). Thins out to the finish. Thereís just a bit of tartness. N3lson1 (1005) - Long Valley, New Jersey, USA - DEC 11, 2015
Drank from a nonic glass poured from a twelve ounce bottle. Pours black with a tiny bit of dark beige head. Amazing aromas of coffee and chocolate (one of the best aromatic brews!) Smooth feel on the tounge, some fizz, but I wish there was some different hop flavoring on the finish, otherwise one of the best porters I have ever have! joejames (510) - Jacobus, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 9, 2015
Bottle to shaker, pours deep brown, small, quick light tan head. No lacing or retention. Aroma of chocolate malt. The taste has a coffee bitterness to it, slightly sweet.. Medium-light bodied, subtle carbonation, mouth feel is slightly creamy but thin. Finishes dry. Tasting notes of roasted malt, tree nuts, vanilla, light roasted coffee bean and earthy. Drinkable but average. skmikeg (1826) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 17, 2014
Pours opaque black with a thin foamy tan head which fades to very little lacing. Aroma is of coffee, roasted malts, dark coco, molasses, and some sourness. Taste is similar to the aroma. Has a medium body with a semi creamy mouthfeel and a semi bitter, semi dry, medium-long finish. Overall, a pretty nice porter that has some nice coffee notes and it pretty drinkable.

12oz bottle from Crossroads. Pours a dirty dark brown/almost black color with a tiny tan head of foam. Aroma of butterfingers and roasted coffee rinds. Taste of chocolate, roasted malt, weak coffee, and hints of caramel, with a sour bitterness in the finish. LinusStick (3447) - Moon Twp, suburb of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 5, 2014
Not a bad beer. Aroma was terribly weak. Could pick up subtle hints of coffee but hard to detect. Pour was a nice deep dark brown with a thin tan ring for a head. Luckily the taste was a lot stronger than the smell. Nice coffee flavor with a slight hoppiness. Chocolate comes out a little in the flavor. A little thin and slightly watery, but for a 5% beer this isnít bad. Mild carbonation. biznizness (1128) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - SEP 21, 2014
Notes from Reading Tap Room, Oct 26, 2013. Nice coffee flavor but this was just way too thin. Good coffee porters start as good porters and I doubt I would have rated this porter very highly without the coffee. Pass. fluffy (2472) - St Petersburg, Florida, USA - JUL 28, 2014
Sort of like day old coffee, kinda thin and watery with just a hint of sweetness. Ok I guess.

Rich deep dark brown coloured body with a thinnish, one centimetre tall off-white head. Aroma of coffee, roasted malt, nuts and a bunch of earth. Medium to Light-bodied; Strong coffee flavour at first with some maple syrup and a touch of toffee, all with a lot of alcohol and even more bitterness. Aftertaste shows some richness from the coffee, a good amount of roasted malt and a faint instant coffee like flavour. Overall, a decent coffee based porter that is a touch watery, but not bad at all. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle brought after a hockey game by Ed (from Philadelphia) on 15-January-2014 in Arlington, Virginia - Thanks Ed!
