Drank from a nonic glass poured from a twelve ounce bottle. Pours black with a tiny bit of dark beige head. Amazing aromas of coffee and chocolate (one of the best aromatic brews!) Bottle to shaker, pours deep brown, small, quick light tan head. No lacing or retention. Aroma of chocolate malt. The taste has a coffee bitterness to it, slightly sweet.. Medium-light bodied, subtle carbonation, mouth feel is slightly creamy but thin. Finishes dry. Tasting notes of roasted malt, tree nuts, vanilla, light roasted coffee bean and earthy. Drinkable but average.

Pours opaque black with a thin foamy tan head which fades to very little lacing. Aroma is of coffee, roasted malts, dark coco, molasses, and some sourness. Taste is similar to the aroma. Has a medium body with a semi creamy mouthfeel and a semi bitter, semi dry, medium-long finish. Overall, a pretty nice porter that has some nice coffee notes and it pretty drinkable. 12oz bottle from Crossroads. Pours a dirty dark brown/almost black color with a tiny tan head of foam. Aroma of butterfingers and roasted coffee rinds. Not a bad beer. Aroma was terribly weak. Could pick up subtle hints of coffee but hard to detect. Pour was a nice deep dark brown with a thin tan ring for a head. Luckily the taste was a lot stronger than the smell. Nice coffee flavor with a slight hoppiness. Chocolate comes out a little in the flavor. Sort of like day old coffee, kinda thin and watery with just a hint of sweetness. Ok I guess.
