UPDATED: SEP 27, 2010 Re-rating 9/27/2010: Much the same, had it on draught, but I’ll also add that it’s a great session beer for conversation and friends. And you have to love supporting something local. Again had at the Green Rock Tavern, 2546 E Lehigh Ave, Philly. 4/10/2008: Light, chipper, bounces off tongue. Drank at Green Rock Tavern, FISHTOWN. Good tavern, good people.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a hazy gold with medium white head that lasts. The aroma is grass and butter. Medium body, earth, butter, grass, off finish, not much going on with this.

BB backlog. Bottle with Annie, One of my least favorite beers to ever come out of Philly, only had it a couple times but that was more than enough. Clears golden with average head. Notes are nothing but skunked piss and weird funk. A total mess of a beer.

skmikeg (1826) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 17, 2016
Pours golden yellow with a thin white head which fades to just a little lacing. Aroma is of grainy malts, sweet mallts, pils malts, light sweet malts, light grass, and some light floral hops. Taste is pretty is similar to the aroma. Has a medium-light body with a slightly watery mouthfeel and a mostly sweet, medium-short finish. Overall, a ok, somewhat tasty, easy drinking helles that make a good summer beer in Philly.

New to me brew from dberger624... Thanks Dan! Pours clear golden with a sudsy white head.. pils malt with some earthy/grassy hoppiness... could use a bit more bitter bite to balance, Okay... but not my favorite example for a German Pils.

malty aroma, pale but hazy in color with no head. strong malt front, slight hoppy finish

Fatehunter (2568) - Corbett, Oregon, USA - DEC 31, 2014
Pours a finger and half of head on a clear straw body. The aroma is dry grain and mild lemon. The taste has a moderate lemon bitter, mild malt body with a clean finish. The texture is crisp. An enjoyable beer.

Tap at south Philly tap. Color is clear crisp yellow with soft head. Aroma of corn and grass. Taste is crisp and bitter, slight cereal bread taste.

BayouBeer76 (12) - Barcelona, SPAIN - SEP 27, 2014
bread, toast, earthy, golden, hazy, clear, white foam, light sweetness, lightly bitter, medium body, slick feel, lively-ish carbonation

Barreras (1689) - Diamond Bar, California, USA - JUN 22, 2014
Pours a light yellow color with a clean malt aroma. Taste is a bit hay like but mellow and very drinkable. Just enough hops to tickle the tongue that lingers a bit. The aftertaste is clean and simple, with a thirst quenching effect. Happy I got to try this on South Street in Philadelphia.
