3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Copper with a white head. Aroma is medium citrus and earthy hops with light grass, and light caramel malts. Medium, crispy body. Flavor is citrus, light grass, and medium biscuit malts. Finish has a nice hop bite. Very straightforward APA. Easy going with a proper amount of hopping to make this pale a go to beer.
Had this from the bottle in a mixed craft case I chose at Wegmans when visiting Stefan in Philly. Pours a cloudy orange with medium head. Malty nose and malt forward flavor with bitter hops and lemon on the finish. Others reviews say a funky flavor. I agree. Not exactly what I expected from a pale ale but OK.

Pours a copper with a thin foamy head. Aroma is almost whisky like, it’s not what I expected from an IPA but it doesn’t put me off. Strange flavour too, some alcohol notes like alcohol burn. Not one I’d revisit. djd07 (16289) - Houston, Texas, USA - JUN 2, 2017
On tap at the brewery. Pours a cloudy orange with small white head that lasts. The aroma is earth and pine. Medium body earth, citrus, lingering bitterness, good.

Keg in Irish bar in Philly. Underwhelming and below average. Slight tastiness to it but nothing really comes through. ryanscourt (1567) - Latrobe, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 10, 2015
Pungent hop aroma with caramel malt. A little bit of a funky profile but ok. hampale (120) - Jaffrey, New Hampshire, USA - AUG 19, 2014
Very disappointing. I’ve had 2 bottles purchased from different stores and both had the similar bland taste of a weak pale ale. Couldn’t tell the age of the bottles as I couldn’t find any dating information on them. Although the ale is not of a drain pour status, I can’t find any reason to purchase it again. If nothing else, I do like the label design - simple and straight forward. nittanytide (289) - Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 17, 2014
Poured gold with a big, foamy head. Floral aroma. Taste is lemon rind and grass. A little lacking on the mid-palate, but a decent pale ale. kramer (6991) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 28, 2013
Bottle. Pours a clear light copper body with a large frothy off-white head that took for ever to settle. Head like this makes me hope there’s not an infection. The nose seems OK though, some light citrusy hops over a slightly sweet and toasty caramel malt base. The flavor is pretty unexciting, lightly bitter citrusy hops with a toasty malt base. A little sweetness, but it’s pretty well kept in check. Finishes with some minimal bitterness and some husky grain. Light bodied with soft fizzy carbonation. About what I’ve come to expect for the style, rather bland and boring.
