COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
From a true "city of neighborhoods" we offer our take on a "biere de mars, " or a ruddy farmhouse ale. In true Philadelphia fashion, European and American ingredients are melded into a complex, ruby ale with flavors of toasted malt and rye. It's the perfect accompaniment for some quality time enjoyed in the backyard (or on the front stoop) of your urban farmhouse.

Bottle, pours a beautiful red with a nice head. The appearance is what I liked most about the beer. Aroma lightly sweet but not entirely noticable. The beer starts of well initially with the makings of a great beer, then it leaves a dull earthy aftertaste.

Aroma had more of a malty character than I had anticipated. Much the same in flavor as well. Quick finish with little in the way of anything lingering. I wouldn’t turn down a free one but I’m not buying a case of it.

Pours an amber with a whiteish head, leaves quickly... Malty aroma, a bit sweet... Slightly sweet malt taste with a hint of citrusy hops... Faintly dry finish... Lower alcohol, not overly carbonated, good session beer...

Poured a red amber color with a small, off white head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of caramel malts, citrus, rye, pine, nuts, and caramel. Taste of caramel, crystal malt, citrus fruits, toffee, pine, toast, and nuts. Chewy mouthfeel. Solid, just nothing mind-blowing.

Draught: Aroma of malts, rye, and a hint of smoke. Poured amber/copper in color with a small, off-white head that diminished. Sparkling. Tastes of malts, chocolate, coffee, cola, and rye. Medium body. Thin texture. Soft carbonation. Nothing to the finish.
