Pours dark red. Initial mild hop bitterness with a dry cherry finish. Better than expected. Rated 4/10/10 hopdog (13102) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 24, 2008
12oz bottle. Poured a deeper orangish / copper color with a very large sized off white head. Aromas of light citrus, caramel, rye bread, and some light spices. Tastes of caramel, lighter rye, and citrus. jcwattsrugger (12524) - Florida and, New Jersey, USA - JUN 9, 2008
12oz bottle-pours a foamy light tan head and copper/amber color. Aroma is musty medium malt-slight caramel/peat, some odd yeast. Taste is a mess.

Bottle. Deep copper pour with 3-finger off-white head. Nose is caramel malt, vinous fruit, some citrus and hops. Tastes caramel malty, with brown sugar, fig, and heavy vinous fruit notes. Fairly rich and creamy palate. Solid. blipp (9684) - La Mesa, California, USA - JUN 15, 2009
Bottle. Pours copper with a thin off white head. Sweet malty aroma with a hint of fruit. The flavor has toasty malt, a spicy rye hint, light sweetness and a dash of floral hops. Nice.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a red-brown color with a small beige head. The aroma was lightly fruity and nutty. The flavor was bitter, fruity and had a light sour caramel and nut element. The finish was long, bitter, fruity and a bit rough. Medium body. Eh. Backlog, Bottle with Pat in 10, amber color with small head. Nice bier de mars overall. Not sure if we got a good batch cause these guys are very inconsistent. Aroma of coffee, apples, spice, malt, and yeast. Taste similar with toasted malt and farmhouse tones. vtafro (7444) - Wayne, New Jersey, USA - JAN 29, 2010
Pin @ Hulmeville Inn. Well here goes, light brown pour, no head. Tasted like a mix between ice tea and a belgian ale. Really weird. I guess light mats, and rye notes dominate. mansquito (6885) - Nueva York, New York, USA - DEC 23, 2008
Slight off-white head. Reddish brown carbonated looking body. Nice flowery aroma with caramel notes. Hoppy taste with a lot of fruity sweet notes. Malts are there as well. Some spices. Tastes very unique and unlike other beers I have had. Looks underrated for a novel beer like this. Very drinkable. ben4321 (6734) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - DEC 10, 2010
Location: 12 oz bottle from Buy Rite - Jersey City, 12/10/10
Aroma: The nose is kind of vinous, grape, a little yeast, moss/earth, minerals, and a touch of spice
Appearance: It pours a slightly cloudy brownish-amber color with a small beige head
Flavor: Much like the nose, but with more sourness to the grapes, plus funky yeast and earthy hops
Palate: It feels somewhat thin, is medium bodied, slightly creamy, and has a fairly long duration
Well this was not what I was expecting at all. I figured this would probably be one of those caramel malt from Amber ales, but it certainly wasn’t. I guess I should have read the bottle! Well, this was a nice surprise actually. This was much more interesting. It turned out to be a fairly solid beer.
