From a metal can. Pour an hazy yellow straw color with almost no head. Aroma of malts and hints of fruits. Flavors of sweet malt, fruits, hints of peach and bubble gum. Taste is ok, nothing great, a bit too sweet. Ok but nothing special here.

bdleedahl (631) - , Saskatchewan, CANADA - OCT 11, 2017
UPDATED: OCT 11, 2017 Actually has pretty decent body for a phillips beer. Doesn't really taste to-style for a kolsch, but all around decent clean beer.

cmacklin (1370) - Lethbridge, Alberta, CANADA - AUG 12, 2016
341ml bottle. Pours a clear yellow with a medium, frothy, long lasting, white head that laces. Sweet aroma of grain, grass and a hint of apple. Sweet flavour of grain, biscuity malt and apple with a mild, bitter grass finish. Light body with a watery texture and soft carbonation. Easy drinking.

MarkoR (959) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 10, 2016
On tap at The Docks, in Victoria. Pours a clear straw colour with a small white head. Aroma is biscuit, cereals, wheat, some citrus. Taste is similar. Refreshing.

Ok for style. Some crisp barley. Pours golden with OK head. Easy drinking but not much here. Bottle from mixer pack.

Wrong time of year for me to be drinking this beer. Pours a pale straw, slightly hazy. Small head that sticks around. Aromas of orange peel and malt. Tastes mainly of sweet malts, lingering mild bitterness. Kind of one dimensional but could imagine it being nice on a hot summers day!

UXO (1896) - CANADA - JUL 27, 2015
Appearance: clear pale straw with two fingers of rocky ivory head, good retention and moderate lacing. (3/5) Aroma: biscuity malt, grassy, light citrus. (6/10) Taste: moderate sweet, mild bitter, mild pepper. (6/10) Palate: light body, soft carbonation, short duration mildly bitter finish. (3/5) A pleasant enough example of the style - light, crisp, and easy-drinking. Hardly challenging, but that’s hardly expected for a kölsch. Definitely a summer beer. (12/20)

RhetoricalAns (973) - Red Deer, Alberta, CANADA - JUN 25, 2015
Clear straw yellow pour, tall somewhat fizzy white head, no lacing. Aroma and flavour are light cereal grain malt with some light grass hops. Lighter body with lots of carbonation. Good beer for a hot day, may have been better if it was cooler though.

UPDATED: DEC 4, 2015 Visual: Pours light straw yellow with a large lasting cream-foamy head, sticky lacing, lots of fast steady streams. Nose: red apple, sweet malts, very clean. (lvl-6)-pungency Attack: crisp, half-creamy light fizzy mouthfeel, Mid-palate: (lvl-4)-sweetness, (MAIN) barley, light malt, red apple Finish: super soft hopped bite, clean smooth off-dry malt finish. Summary: Initial sips were very crisp and smooth, the latter last ones were pretty average. In other words, nothing to write home about. [Re-tasted 2015/12/3]: Nose: faint sweet lager malt. (lvl-2)-pungency Attack: crisp bite, micro fizzy Mid-palate: thin flavour, (lvl-4)-sweetness, (MAIN) grainy lager barley malt, bready Finish: almost citrusy/soapy, off-dry malt, palate roughness. Summary: Less pungency than this time around and no apple. Flavour is pretty basic and dull. Still can’t write home about this one.
