Bottle. Cloudy reddish amber pour without much head. Aroma is earthy hops and subtle cooked beets. Taste is deceptively mild for the ABV, tastes like a mellow saison with beets. Interesting, and not half bad. Brettsky06 (536) - Manitoba, CANADA - NOV 25, 2017
Bright red pour. Earthy aromas. Taste is earthy bitter hops. Definitely taste the beets as well. A little overpowering. Very interesting though bulldogops (2885) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - SEP 21, 2016

Rating #2200 - 2015.12.01 - Bottle #1 in the 2015 Phillips Snowcase. Pours a clear pink. Aroma is of bears, beets, and Battlestar Galactica. No seriously, this is like a beet root Belgian blonde. Taste is quite smooth, light wheat ale qualities, mild sweetness, herbal whiff. Not unpleasant but asks more questions than it answers. 7-4-7-3-14 3.5

Pink body white head. Floral sweet malt aroma. Belgian candy. Yeast. Spice maybe even a touch of cinnamon. Taste is sweet yeast with a bit of a dry watery finish. A bit earthly and floral. Nice beer. I don’t detect the beets other than in the colour. cards04 (2952) - Steinbach, Manitoba, CANADA - DEC 12, 2015
Pours a light pinkish red. Aromas of beets, pickled beets, mint, Belgian yeast. Nice mouthfeel...some nice warmth..sweetness and bitterness. Belgian notes and earthy beets. Quite good. patricks110 (2843) - Alberta, CANADA - DEC 7, 2015
Love beets, love beer. Not in love with this beer. Pours a bright pink/red with a soapy of white head. Light carbonation. The nose is earthy, a bit floral and spicy with a pinch of grass. odd beer overall with a undertone of earthy, roots and dirt. Hmm. Alcohol is very well hidden. sulawang (1217) - - DEC 3, 2015
Visual: Pours clear reddish orange, barely any head, ringed retention, lots and lots of very fast steady streams.
Nose: sour acidity, beet rootiness in the background, mild funk (lvl-4)-pungency
Attack: crisp, thin viscosity, fizzy CO2
Mid-palate: thin-bodied, (lvl-6)-sweetness, (MAIN) sweet liquid malt, subtle beetroot earthiness, almost salty
Finish: lingering malt, mild palate rough finish.
Summary: Is this really and 8%’er?? ABV is undeniably well hidden from start to finish, drinks more like a 5%. Beetroot is there in the mids but it doesn’t elevate the beer profile. Overall just an average drinkable brew, though not very inspiring being the 1st of 24. Oldschool_Mike (368) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - DEC 1, 2015
Bottle into pint glass. Pours a clearish red colour with white head. Aroma is slightly earthy. Taste is bout the same. This beer is kinda boring except for the colour.
