Partagée avec Cédrick. S’cuse vieux!

Sweet malt aroma, toffee, biscuit. Taste is similar, light hoppy finish. Thought it was quite a nice ESB, nicely balanced.

UPDATED: MAR 14, 2016 650ml bottle. Pours a clear ruby caramel with an off white head. Aroma has notes of faint caramel, a touch of candy sugar, and bit of pine, resin, and citrus. Taste is balanced. Caramel, a touch of dark fruits and toffee, a bit of resin and pine, citrus, and a bit of creaminess at the end. Medium-full body with a medium carbonation. A bit resiny in the mouth with a dry finish. Overall pretty tasty. A bit more hoppy than the Monkeys or garrison version.

Pours a clear medium brown with a frothy tan head. Aroma of caramel, toast, biscuit, light fruity esters and earthy hops. Taste is caramel bordering burnt bit more so the bitterness of the hops, toffee and biscuit... Great imperial esb!

Thanks to Reimer for this. Pours dark brown with a big pillow beige head. Aroma is sweet caramel with light toasted malt. Taste is very sweet caramel and toffee malts with a hint of toast with a small sharp hop bitterness. Very nice.

Bottle. Medium copper Amber, off white head. Sweet caramel, peach jam, light plastic. Blood/metal in the finish. Just too sweet for me in the end, and that metallic thing just killed it really.

Pours copper, medium head. Aroma of malty grains and caramel. Taste is sweet malty and lightly hoppy, I think I expected better considering who the collaborators are, its alright.

650ml brown bottle. Amber colour, clear, big clingy beige cap. Nose has caramel, grain, light hops. Flavour of sweet caramel malt, grain, bread, herb and grass. Bitter finish, some earth and grass lingering. Medium bodied. Probably wouldn’t have this again...

Sparkling amber, light tan head.Light bready malt nose.Palate is tinny, with bland vague malt. The light hop bitterness in finish is out of place, and doesn’t seem to fit. Another underwhelming brew from Phillips

Classic biscuit malts, toasted toffee and caramel with a traditional british style hop. Pours a dark amber with a thick, frothy beige head. The aroma is malty and bit spicy with light citrus and floral hop notes. Sweet malts, moderate hops, good balance.
