Pours a clear medium brown with a frothy tan head. Aroma of caramel, toast, biscuit, light fruity esters and earthy hops. Taste is caramel bordering burnt bit more so the bitterness of the hops, toffee and biscuit... Great imperial esb! MunBro (942) - St. Albert, Alberta, CANADA - JUL 5, 2015
Phillips Edition. Has a great amount of flavour - really nice! Lots of hops and the roasted barley really shines through. LarryBeast (616) - - JUN 30, 2015
650ml bottle. Deep brown with a foamy, tan head. Earthy, roast caramel with some spice and a dollop of British hops. Rich, lots of flavour. Mildly sweet, full-bodied with an abrupt finish. reebtogi (6488) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - JUL 9, 2015
650ml bottle pours a deep amber color with a finger and a half of off-white head that leaves some decent lacing on the glass. Aroma is light caramel and grass with some mild citrus. Taste is a grassy and citrus hop bitterness with a light caramel malty sweetness. Medium bodied with nice carbonation that tickles the palate. Overall, this is an interesting take on an ESB with the boost in ABV. Extra body and taste, makes this a recommended brew. patricks110 (2897) - Alberta, CANADA - JUL 12, 2015
Classic biscuit malts, toasted toffee and caramel with a traditional british style hop. Pours a dark amber with a thick, frothy beige head. The aroma is malty and bit spicy with light citrus and floral hop notes. Sweet malts, moderate hops, good balance.

Thanks to Reimer for this. Pours dark brown with a big pillow beige head. Aroma is sweet caramel with light toasted malt. Taste is very sweet caramel and toffee malts with a hint of toast with a small sharp hop bitterness. Very nice. cards04 (2974) - Steinbach, Manitoba, CANADA - JUL 7, 2015
Pretty good beer here. Pours a dark amber/molasses colour. Earthy and dusty aromas. Don’t black licorice sweetness too. Flavours are quite bitter. But lots of sweet ESB classic malts. Hints of red berries. Nice. sudomorph (1217) - Barrie, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 9, 2016
UPDATED: MAR 14, 2016 650ml bottle. Pours a clear ruby caramel with an off white head. Aroma has notes of faint caramel, a touch of candy sugar, and bit of pine, resin, and citrus. Taste is balanced. Caramel, a touch of dark fruits and toffee, a bit of resin and pine, citrus, and a bit of creaminess at the end. Medium-full body with a medium carbonation. A bit resiny in the mouth with a dry finish. Overall pretty tasty. A bit more hoppy than the Monkeys or garrison version. RhetoricalAns (973) - Red Deer, Alberta, CANADA - FEB 20, 2016
Dark brown pour, medium tan head. Sweet malt aroma, toffee, biscuit. Taste is similar, light hoppy finish. Thought it was quite a nice ESB, nicely balanced. pintbypint (4078) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - JUL 18, 2015
650ml brown bottle. Amber colour, clear, big clingy beige cap. Nose has caramel, grain, light hops. Flavour of sweet caramel malt, grain, bread, herb and grass. Bitter finish, some earth and grass lingering. Medium bodied. Probably wouldn’t have this again...
