Electric Unicorn is a hop-infused white ale; best enjoyed while riding a mystical mono-horned laser beast, racing through the galaxy to the sonic backdrop of screaming metal guitars, time to ditch reality and take this India Pale fairy tale for a ride.

WheatKing's rating

   AROMA 7/10   APPEARANCE 3/5   TASTE 3/10   PALATE 2/5   OVERALL 11/20

Smells great, as wits do in that strange way, with the orange and coriander... however I didn’t care for how thin this was and the flavour in general. Esters and strong hops don’t seem to mix so well in my mouth... like Nanaimo bars and gravy. My second white IPA and neither have impressed me that much.

A nice uplifting Flavour. The look is a bright but hazy resulting from the added wheat. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Cloudy yellow pour. Aromas of lemon and coriander. Taste is the same but with a nice spice to it. One of the better white IPA’s I’ve tried

brew is warmer than usual at the start of a review due to sitting during a lengthy workout. Nothing says proper recovery like beer. Was surprised I’d not reviewed this. This was the only craft beer not named Whistler at the liquor depot by save on 34th - maybe the worst store I’ve been into here locally. Smells pretty nice - lemons, different tropical fruits than I’m used to finding, rrgf, wheat, coriander. Flavour comes across as fresh due to the nature of this brew. Lemon, coriander, wheat, light sweet tropical, zippy and dryness and sweetness all wrapped into one. Spice holds up the back end but isn’t all coriander. The topical has a slight orangeness to it but totally isn’t orange. The bright white head holds up the entire time. Not really sure where I come out on this one.

341ml bottle. Pours a hazy yellow with a medium, frothy, long lasting, white head that leaves curtains of lace. Sweet aroma of lemon, tropical fruit, coriander and yeast. Sweet flavour of wheat malt, lemon, tropical fruit, coriander and yeast with a dry, hoppy, bitter grass finish. Medium body with a smooth, oily texture and average carbonation. A tasty ipa/ witbier hybrid.

Light citrus and some coriander hint like curry for white people. Hazy blonde pour with decent head and lacing. Tangy bitter finish. Tap at Beercade.

RhetoricalAns (973) - Red Deer, Alberta, CANADA - DEC 4, 2016
Clear gold pour, finger of creamy white head, dissipates to a solid film of thin bubbles. Light fruity aroma, sharper tropical fruit note. Mild bitterness, light cereal / cracker malt. Shot through with orange and a richer herbal gin taste. Prickly carbonation and a crisp finish.

rubyroo (146) - Calgary, Alberta, CANADA - SEP 24, 2016
Aroma of orange, pineapple, mango, yeast. The Appearance is a cloudy off-yellow with some yeast in suspension. It pours a finger of head that recedes into a sparse layer of bubbles and ring of foam. Taste is tropical fruitiness, orange, white pepper, green hops. Palate is medium bodied, thanks to the wheat. Slight bitter/dry finish. Overall- it’s well balanced between a white ale and an IPA. Not very bitter, but it has a nice hop flavour/aroma. It also hides the ABV well.

light start but as warms up becomes cloying. It went from like 3.7 quickly downwards. Drink quickly.

[7814-20151017] Bottle. Grainy straw and grassy hops aroma. Clear, light yellow body with a medium-lasting foamy white head and some lacing. Bitter grassy straw and grassy hops flavour. Medium body. Good. (7/3/7/3/15) 3.5
