UPDATED: JUL 28, 2013 (355ml bottle) Part of the Phillips mixed box. Very corn flavoured and macro-brewery nose. I suspect this is supposed to be a funny take on Bob & Doug McKenzie’s movie ’Strange Brew’. Sadly, the joke is on us as this could be Phillips worst offering. robinvboyer (4754) - Sturgeon Falls, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 11, 2014
Clear golden pour, small, but very lively white head. Pleasant pale malts in the nose, with some very subtle, but present dried, grassy hops. A lovely crisp, lovely mouth feel. A clean and crisp finish. Light bitterness, some light hopping, slight malt sweetness, some grasses, and even a touch of lemon zest. For what it is, its quite good. Probably the best pale lager ive ever had. probstblueribbon (4088) - Nepean, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 3, 2014

341 ml bottle from LCBO (part of Natural Selection BC Craft Brewers Sampler Pack). Pours a golden yellow with average-sized white head. Aroma is bready with a hint of corn and some grassiness. Flavour has bready graininess, a little fruit and a little corn and a decent grassy, lightly floral hoppiness. Average body. Nothing too special, but for the fact it’s a pale lager that is perfectly pleasant. pintbypint (3831) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - AUG 23, 2013
341ml brown bottle. Pale yellow, a bit of haze. White foam. Nose is grainy and light. Taste has a sweet start, grainy, light grass hop notes. Dry end, a bit of lingering grass. A bit better than your average pale lager but nothing to go out of your way for.

Pours hazy gold with a small white wisp. Aroma is light grain and a hint of hop. Taste is crisp, light biscuit malt and terribly refreshing. As Pale Lagers go, this one is a keeper. Metalchopz (3529) - Cantley, Quebec, CANADA - OCT 29, 2014
Part of the BC Craft Brewers Guild Natural Selections 6 pack (2014). Pours a clean light golden-yellow colour with a frothy white head, decent retention and lacing. Soapy aromas with some citrus sourness. This blends in to a nice grassy hop nose. Light taste with not much malt and just a little more hops. Lightly dry and pretty refreshing for a summer brew. Bottle from BC craft beer sampler pack at the LCBO. Clear and bright yellow-gold with an abundant white head. Clean aroma of bread crust, light caramel, bit of boiled corn, light grassy hops. Simple and well-balanced flavour of lightly sweet and toasty malt & grassy not-too-bitter hops. A straight-up, well made pale lager. Not my usual choice of beer, but I’ve gotta respect it for being a good example of the style.
