341ml bottle. Pours a clear pale yellow with a good sized white head. Light green tea, light green apple gummy worm (yup), light resinous hop notes, and straw heavy malt on the nose. Light bodied with more faint notes of green tea, resinous hops, slightly watery, and light tropical fruit. Easy drinking, and pretty tasty given how quiet the flavours are. Really makes me think "Brooklyn Lager", and that is indeed a compliment. I’d buy a six of this any day. LarryBeast (616) - - AUG 17, 2013
On tap at Phillips. Murky straw-coloured with foamy white head. Toasty cereal and corn, pilsner aroma and a slight metallic taste. Easy-going and dry; finishes with a light bitterness. Mild, but not unpleasant.
Paired well with bacon maple doughnuts (what wouldn’t?)

UPDATED: NOV 16, 2015 Aroma of straw corn and banana. Taste is much the same. Had in tap from the brewery at a tasting. It’s good. Edit: This beer was also included as part of the 2015 Snowcase Advent Calendar

Pours a clear amber, with just the slightest head and a little lace. Has some grassines, cereal with citrus backbone. Not grassy enough as say, a Samuel Smith, but I’d have it again. Raistlin (495) - London, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 2, 2014
A clear pale straw gold with a thick fluffy eggshell white head. bready pale malts with a dash of lemon. The taste is similarly bready with some citrus and an earthy bitter fairly crisp finish

Bottle into pint glass. Pours a clear straw colour. Aroma is of malt with a slight fruitiness from the yeast. Taste is pretty balanced malt and hoppiness. Pretty easy going beer.

Very pale yellow in color. Sweet grainy aroma, a little cotton candy. Mellow taste, little sweet, bread. Nice easy drinking light beer.

Notes of corn and grass. Not a bad pale lager but certainly not above and beyond in any way. BeerAndPonies (175) - Medicine Hat, Alberta, CANADA - APR 2, 2015
Single 341 ml bottle from Liquor Depot, served in a footed lager glass. Apparently someone else besides me thinks "Strange Brew" was a underrated classic movie; ergo, the brew’s name. While the low-tech craft label is very nice, I wish it had resembled the "Old Style Pilsner" design of the movie’s prop bottles. Oh, well, let’s see if this beer gives me an urge to don black body armor and fight it out in a hockey rink. Pours a bright golden yellow with light, constant carbonation and a pearly white head that shrinks quickly but leaves a lace ring or two behind. Aroma features cereals, grassy hops, and an unfortunate buttery, creamed corniness. Flavor features a more pleasant palette, with malts and earthy hops, no corn, and with an acceptable bit of astringency in the otherwise clean finish. Thin and a little slick. If Phillips could get rid of the corn aroma - or add some mind-controlling chemicals so drinkers wouldn’t notice it - this would be a very good pale lager. Even so, what’s presented here is beauty, eh.
