transparent golden our. nice head with lacing that hugs the glass. Grassy hop nose. Bitter taste with hints of sweet citrus. Not a face blaster, but drinkable and moderate. Lovely IPA. Certainly ready for another. Bendrixian (1514) - Canadiana, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 29, 2013
Clear brew with a yellow/amber colour. Hoppy aroma but there is a weird cheesecake or honeyed note. I think there may have been an issue with the seal. medium body brew with a resinous/aged IPA note. Again i think this bottle was flawed.

Bottle from Asahiya. Thick citrus, cream of malt soup, with candied peaches and some sweet pipe tobacco. Gold straw color, with just a very little haziness. Strong malty initial, then big fat hops / blends and balances in mid / ends with some pepper and thick final hop traces. Medium body. The hops hang on nicely. Good stuff. neongolden (1780) - Linköping, Sweden/Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 15, 2013
(341ml bottle from LCBO) Poured a clear yellow-gold with a mid-size bubbly head, moderate retention, lace. Aroma is mild grapefruit, earthy, herbal, something which when prompted I realise was green garlic, some pale malt, a bit disappointing. Flavour follows the nose, bit of citrus hops and some earthy pine, not very resinous, that herb and garlic character again and then lots of grainy pale malt on the back without much hop bitterness to overpower it. Finishes off-dry and malty with a slight bitterness. Mouthfeel medium-light, oily, moderate carb. Kind of muddled, not quite off flavours but not very harmonious either, not sure I like the yeast or the amount of grainy character. It is not a bad IPA, but not up my alley, and apparently might be inconsistent? solidfunk (9363) - Washington D.C., Washington DC, USA - MAY 8, 2013
A lot of different hops going on here. I recognize a grapefruit variety that’s super prominent. Nice almost meaty aroma. Good stuff. Finishes bitter. Nice complex palate, but I feel like four hops varieties is too much of a party. Pours golden with good head and some lacing. On tap at brewery.

Draft at Calgary beer fest. Hazy yellow color, thick white head, solid lacing. Aroma of citrus, cilantro. Taste is bitter lemon. BeerandBlues2 (13697) - Escondido, California, USA - MAY 7, 2013
Tap at Calgary Beer Fest. Pours clear dark gold with a medium, creamy off-white head, medium retention with good lacing. Aroma is dank, earthy, and pine hops, biscuit and cookie malt, mango and pineapple fruity esters. Flavor is heavy hops and bitterness, light malt and fruity esters with a dry finish. Medium body and carbonation. JesseM (1158) - Margaritaville, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 2, 2013
Bottle from LCBO sixer. Glad I finally got around to picking this up while the weather heats up. Nice clear pale colour with a large white head. Aroma is decent, nice west coast hop profile, possibly some Centennial in there? Flavour is equally pleasing, with a moderate but nice malt backbone to the hops that bring a lot of flavour, as well as bitterness and an earthy dryness. Finishes cleanly, and I feel like this would pair well with just about anything. Solid session beer. jonno (2878) - JAPAN - MAY 2, 2013
Good solid IPA. Piney forward, light but taught body. Moderate bitterness. Citrus in the aftertaste. Well put together. neuromatt (1225) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - APR 21, 2013
341 mL bottle from the LCBO, served in a stem glass. Pours clear golden with a moderate, fluffy off-white head that mostly remains and leaves a moderate amount of fine lace. The nose has big notes of grapefruit and resin along with a touch of pale malt. The flavour is quite bitter with big grapefruit notes and a touch of tropical fruit. Hops are dominant, but pale malts and a touch of caramel come through as well. The finish is long and bitter with grapefruit notes from the nose. On the palate it is medium in body with a dry texture and average carbonation. Overall, this is a decent IPA, but it is somewhat one-dimensionally grapefruit. 2013-04-21
