UPDATED: SEP 19, 2015 Sweet chocolate and candy aroma.....like those candy cigarettes from about 20 years ago, remember those? Black with frothy head, sweet chocolatey taste leading to a bitter choco taste....interesting. chocolatetastes like powdered stuff.

Strong forward artificial cocoa flavour. But it's a nice dessert-style beer. Worth a recommendation for sure, but would be nice to have a little more of its malt flavour on top.

Really enjoyed this very smooth extremely dark porter. It was not overpowering but the chocalte was very prevalent in the taste. Definitely will buy this again.

On tap. Pours a hazy dark brown with a medium, creamy, long lasting, tan head that laces. Sweet aroma of roasted malt, dark chocolate and vanilla. Sweet flavour of roasted malt, dark chocolate, coffee, caramel and vanilla with a dry, mildly bitter finish. Light body with a watery texture and soft carbonation.

Chilliwack, BC - Sardis Liquors - 650 ml bomber. Dark brown pour, mocha colored head, nice film of lacing. Heavy chocolate aroma, a hint of licorice. Flavor is solid with some unsweetened baker’s chocolate, some earthy topsoil notes, a brief touch of licorice in the finish. Mouthfeel is smooth, could have been just a tad thicker. Rating #32 of my 2016 vacation.

Bottle into glass. Aroma of chocolate with a hops background. Pours black with minimal tan head. Taste is medium bitter. Full bodied with an oily texture, and very fizzy carbonation. Would be good if it wasn’t over carbonated.
