Rating #2238 - 2015.12.10 - Bottle #10 in the 2015 Phillips Snowcase. Pour is a dark brown with a fairly frothy beige head with decent retention. Aroma is light toffee, chocolate, with cocoa puff aroma, mild grassiness. Taste is smooth, malty, and quite light. Decent finish. Pretty good dunkelweizen. cards04 (2784) - Steinbach, Manitoba, CANADA - NOV 26, 2015
Pours almost black. Nice banana and coffee aromas. More sweet yeasty flavours, banana and some bitter coffee flavours. A nice dunkel. A touch thin. northropfrye (3512) - Steinbach, Manitoba, CANADA - NOV 26, 2015
Dark body not much head or lacing. Yeast cocoa roast lactose cherry aroma. Nice. Taste is toasty with dried fruit and a touch of yeast and banana. Sweet. Medium palate. Nice beer. Ferris (15010) - Burnaby, British Columbia, CANADA - NOV 5, 2015
Bottle - Malty, toasty and syrupy notes. Jet black with a light brown small head. Molasses, syrupy dark malts and sweet. A bit too sweet and syrupy for me. simonblaine (576) - Alberta, CANADA - FEB 10, 2015
Aroma of roasted malts and dried fruits. Tasty malty, banana , dried fruit, chocolate, dried fruits, wine. In that order.
Does not pour with a massive head, didn’t find it overly carbonated.

Attack: crisp, fizzy
Mid-palate: (lvl-6)-sweetness, (MAIN) toasted malts, molasses, brown sugar, cola, banana wheat
Finish: malty sweet finish.
Summary: Extremely easy-drinking. Sweet wheat caramel malts all day long. Alcohol totally stealth. cfrancis (3407) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 17, 2015
Thanks to Reimer for this. Pours dark brown with a frothy off white top. Aroma is nutty yeasty and slight chocolate. Taste is again wheat, a slight banana, nutty and chocolate. Pretty good but perhaps a tad too carbonated. ljthiessen (1322) - Winnipeg, Manitoba, CANADA - DEC 6, 2014
Bottle. Very dark pour, nearly black, with virtually no head. Aroma is like a Belgian strong dark, very malty with lots of dark fruits and yeast, plus a touch of hefeweizen spice. Flavour is fairly rich, fruity and yeasty with a lightly tart note at the finish. A lot of alcohol warmth for the ABV; must be that Belgian yeast. Doesn't quite come together for me, but a bold attempt at something a bit different. Oldschool_Mike (368) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - DEC 6, 2014
Bottle into pint glass. Pours a clear dark brown colour with very little head. Aroma is a bit of toastyness but mostly pepperyness from the yeast. Taste is pretty much the same with some nice effervescents. Nice dark saison.
