Pours dark reddish brown with frothy head. Aroma of smoky camp fire that lingers on your clothes, scotch, molasses. Taste is lightly smoked chocolate, slightly sweet. Absolutely delicious.

nice heavy thick smokey smell pours dark dark brown with a tan head that is lively and brings out even more smokiness scent taste is one hundred percent with just the right levels of smokiness reminds me of the campfire smell your clothes absorb so good also great to cook with andrewturba (1190) - Alberta, CANADA - MAR 3, 2014
Pours a clear deep copperish/brown with an average sized long lasting dull white head that leaves pretty good amounts of lace. Aroma is smoke, vanilla, oak, peat, and some sweet brown sugar like notes. Taste is whiskey, peaty, smoke, brown sugar, vanilla notes mild bitterness and oak. Love smoked beers! Pour a clear reddish brown with a light brown fluffy head that leaves good lacing up the glass. Aroma of campfire, wood, peat, light chocolate and bread. Taste is peaty, woody, brown sugar, light vanilla and pepper. Finishes nice and dry with a medium low carbonation... Overall a great Rauch that’s well balanced. LarryBeast (616) - - MAR 31, 2014
650ml bottle. Blackish brown with bubbly tan head. Smoked peat, burnt oak, toast, roasted ham, pepper, hint of vanilla. Good sweet/bitter balance. Medium-bodied, borderline creamy. Very nice.

Bottle - Toffee, chocolate and no smoke I can sense. Clear maroon, with a brown head. Little bacon and smoke, lots of caramel and toffee, chocolate and a long finish. Well rounded and mellow, but not as smokey as I would like. pintbypint (3921) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - FEB 26, 2014
650ml brown bottle. Reddish brown por, quite a large beige cap, very creamy and sticky foam. Aroma has a bit of chocolate malt and some smoke and wood hints. Taste has wood, smoke, roast. Finishes with some smoke and roast. Overall, a nicely done brew. Alcohol stays in check, smoke notes are nice, but could be stronger. Worth checking out. dfearnley (2379) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - MAR 6, 2014

Beautiful dark amber to mahogany color, clear, with generous compact head. Delicate but persistent aroma of smoke, peat, wood, acidulated milk, roasted nuts. The mouthfeel is off-dry but quite smooth; the caramel flavor is delicate, layered with peat and some schinken, some milk cream, a bit nutty too; rather low bitterness, and weak final.
Pleasant Rauchbier, but timid.
Bottle, shared at the lake with Parksy, May long weekend. Amber gold, very pleasant balance between grains, sweet barrel, and campfire smoke. Extremely drinkable, full flavoured, with no single component dominating. A tame rauch, tame barrel, but just really enjoyable, exceeding my expectations.
