Benjii (3050) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - AUG 14, 2011
Cask at Cloisters. Pours a cloudy golden colour with a thin white head. Aroma of wet hay, caramel and musty honey. Similar flavours of caramel, hay, honey and wet cardboard this time. Nicely dry with a long dry linger, however, this doesn’t redeem this beer.

Can see that a lot of people have had this in sub-prime condition. This was cask; Queen’s Head, Chelmsford. Frothy lacing; copper gold colour, aroma is citrus hops, lemons, marzepan and grapefruit, quite grainial. Taste is grapefruit, citrus, oranges, good bitterness. Very sessionable and enjoyable. A great bitter.

Cask (handpump) @ Black Lion, 65 Chapel Street, Salford, Greater Manchester M3 5BZ, England.

Clear medium yellow to orange color with a small average, frothy, good - fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, moderate hoppy, citrus - cat piss. Flavor is moderate sweet and moderate to light light heavy bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat to soft. [20100425]

Gold colour. Vague aroma, maybe some caramel taste. A little bit of burnt electrical phenols, but also a lot of fruitiness and some minerals late. Plenty of character, but at no point coalescing into anything I actually want.

Spoons Fest! But not a fest beer! Clear gold beer with a residual white head. Fresh hop bitterness but with a touch of sulphur. Lingering bitter hop aftertaste. Tiny bit of sweet orange and minerals. Dry.

Beershine (5253) - VANCOUVER, British Columbia, CANADA - SEP 26, 2010
Cask @ Foot of the Walk, Leith. Warm honey-gold with stable head. Aroma is yeasty with mushroom, and some sulfuric vegetation. Soft, oily palate. FLavors are better, with roasted mushroom and nice hop bitterness.

DougShoemaker (3146) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 1, 2010
Cask. Fine malt nose and some fruit, auburn, small toffee head, loads of lace. Flavour is a full on malt, red plums some woody notes. Light bodied, well balanced, fine bitterness, too easy to drink. Terrific session!

bobinlondon (1297) - Harrow, Greater London, ENGLAND - DEC 31, 2008
Handpulled cask at JDW Harrow earlier this year. Pake brown with a white head. A vert well balanced bitter with complex citrus hop flavours. Very enjoyable.

EFC1878 (315) - Manchester, Greater Manchester, ENGLAND - NOV 20, 2008
Cask various locations. Dark golden colour with decent white head - resembles Sierra Nevada PA. Citrus hop aroma. Full bodied, malty with a good bitter finish. Phoenix can do much better, though.

downender (9003) - Bristol, Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - MAR 30, 2008
Cask-conditioned at the Commercial Rooms (JDW), Bristol 30/3/08. Golden coloured with a decent white head. A drinkable enough session bitter with some sweet malt and citrus hops. Ok.
