Golden pour, mildly caramel on the taste with a small bit of spicing. Light hops. Decent.

Definitely by far the best Thai made beer sold in Thailand, though it probably may not be the best beer in the world (that’s Carlsberg as we all know). It has some resemblance to great Czech beers but with much milder tones. It’s sold in Big C’s for a bit more premium than the typical Thai beers but practically never found in any bars, I guess it just got too much taste for average expat Joe. Giving it the highest score here as it really is the only Thai made beer you can place on the premium category.

AshtonMcCobb (6605) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JUN 26, 2017
Bottle from Lupe Pinto. Appearance - golden with a thin head. Nose - light caramel or dare I say butterscotch. Taste - definitely the same again. Palate - light bodied and could be cleaner on the finish. Overall - not great.

allmyvinyl (10617) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JUN 26, 2017
Bottle shared with Ashton McCobb. Pours clear golden with a short-lived thin white head. Aromas of light malt and corn. Light white sugar. Taste is watery butterscotch. Thin, saccharine finish.

330ml bottle Pale straw color with OK head Grainy rice aroma. Slight bitterness then oxidation (BB 21/03/17) and a bland thin generic lager palate. Ho hum.

colui72 (1029) - HONG KONG - APR 19, 2017
Usual macro lager, golden, minimal fast fading head. Aroma of macro lager hops, taste of faint lager malts, rice, with some notes of lemon, a bit sweet, slightly better than other Thai brews, but still... it’s a San Miguel.

Like it. Golden Clear and refreshing. Got more taste compare to other local lager. Also can taste hint of Jasmine Rice.

Pours clear yellow with white head. The average macro lager. Hay, malt, bread.

@ Bangtao Beach, Thailand 20170216. Bottle (330 ml) from local minimarket. Sweet, malty and grainy with some light spicy notes, light to medium body with a watery to oily texture. The finish is dry, malty and sweet.

DraftDodger (1527) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - FEB 12, 2017
Copenhagen 12/2 2017. 33 cl bottle from Meny. Light green glass and label with foi give it a quite flashy appearance. Hornbill on the label. Very exotic looking. Pours clear yellow with small white head. Settles as thin alost transparent layer of foam. Aroma is quite thin. A little sweetness from the malts and rice I presume and something a little sour in the background. Medium carbonation and thin watery palate. Flavor is pretty thin too. A little sweetness - not much else. Utterly forgettable.

Can sample at a tasting at Tom’s place. Thanks Tom. Clear gold with a white film. Faint paper and a little corn aroma, sweet, artificial candy taste. Light body, sweet finish and fizzy.
