2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
(12oz bottles) Pours a clear pale yellow body with a small white head. Aroma of cereal, grass, and cardboard. Flavor of grass, some metallic, grain, and cardboard.
330ml bottle from Beers of Europe. Brewed in Cambodia. Pours dark gold with a small white head. Aroma is rice, butterscotch, grain. Taste is light sweet, rice, caramel. LazyPyro (1479) - Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - SEP 15, 2017
330ml bottle. Clear golden pour with a huge head that completely disappears fairly quickly. Aroma: light malt, grain, soap. Taste: same as the aroma, grainy (rice?), grass, soapy chemical taste completely ruins it, got worse as it went on so drain poured the rest. Light watery body, average carbonation. Probably a bad bottle but Singha and Chang are much better than this. Hermod (8249) - Vantaa, FINLAND - AUG 17, 2017
Bottle from friend.
Poured golden color with a thin white head.
Hard to find any aroma.
Mostly some rice, sweetness and light harshness. IPAHater73 (2) - AFGHANISTAN - JUL 5, 2017 does not count
Definitely by far the best Thai made beer sold in Thailand, though it probably may not be the best beer in the world (that’s Carlsberg as we all know). It has some resemblance to great Czech beers but with much milder tones. It’s sold in Big C’s for a bit more premium than the typical Thai beers but practically never found in any bars, I guess it just got too much taste for average expat Joe. Giving it the highest score here as it really is the only Thai made beer you can place on the premium category. AshtonMcCobb (6869) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JUN 26, 2017
Bottle from Lupe Pinto.
Appearance - golden with a thin head.
Nose - light caramel or dare I say butterscotch.
Taste - definitely the same again.
Palate - light bodied and could be cleaner on the finish.
Overall - not great.
allmyvinyl (10932) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JUN 26, 2017
Bottle shared with Ashton McCobb. Pours clear golden with a short-lived thin white head. Aromas of light malt and corn. Light white sugar. Taste is watery butterscotch. Thin, saccharine finish. Skarecrow (872) - North Shore, Auckland, NEW ZEALAND - MAY 19, 2017
Pale straw color with OK head
Grainy rice aroma.
Slight bitterness then oxidation (BB 21/03/17) and a bland thin generic lager palate.
Ho hum. colui72 (1085) - HONG KONG - APR 19, 2017
Usual macro lager, golden, minimal fast fading head. Aroma of macro lager hops, taste of faint lager malts, rice, with some notes of lemon, a bit sweet, slightly better than other Thai brews, but still... it’s a San Miguel. MeadWarden62 (1) - - APR 18, 2017 does not count
Like it. Golden Clear and refreshing. Got more taste compare to other local lager. Also can taste hint of Jasmine Rice. Nische (2433) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - APR 18, 2017
Pours clear yellow with white head. The average macro lager. Hay, malt, bread.
