Draught. Aroma of nothing really. Clear golden colour with a short lasting white head. Very dry with a hint if bitter but not much else. zach8270 (4022) - Henrietta, New York, USA - MAR 20, 2006
(bottle - 500 ml) Mildly hazy yellow pour with a thin and fizzy white head that fades quickly. Aroma is kind of sweet with a grainy smell under the sweetness. Some stale hops perhaps. Taste has a fair amount of sweetness in it at the beginning with a malty middle and a dry and bitter hop finish. Kind of grainy and grassy at the end. Watery but surprisingly refreshing. haukur (1957) - Reykjavik, ICELAND - SEP 15, 2005
an ok pilsner, nothing to shout about, nothing really going on here but I wasnt expecting anything, drinkable beastdog75 (364) - Brick, New Jersey, USA - JAN 3, 2005
Not a very pleasant brew, tasted like a "sub-premium" American brand. I would best describe this brew as "soapy" in the aroma and flavor. Grainy, husky, slightly skunky, with grassy bitterness in finish. JFGrind (2047) - Glenside, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 15, 2004
Another Eastern Euro bottle of beer that I knew nothing about before consuming. the label gives me assumption this was once the "beer of Polish kings". Further study of the label tells me beer is brewed by Carlsberg/Okocim. After popping the cap I’m greeted with a wet rag aroma. Piast pours a yellow dilluted color with some bubbling into the glass. Flavor is creamy, chalky East Euro swill with a corn alcohol aftertaste. Is this what young Polish drinkers prefer in a pilsner? This beer reminded me of Coors Henry Joseph’s, a beer of my youth.

Decent beer. Smooth and not the bad bitterness of a lot of pilseners. Sweet like a malt liquor. Also during my "buy cheap things that come in individual bottles" trip to the liquor store. Cornfield (5570) - Oak Forest, Illinois, USA - OCT 1, 2004
Thankfully, I bought only one bottle of this to sample. It pours a pale yellow with a thin head. Smells kind of skunky. Tastes watery with chemical after tones. Are you sure this isn’t one of Miller’s malt liquors? Frank (4195) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - SEP 30, 2004
This is some straight swill. Serve ice cold and try not to taste it too much. Kinda golden yellow, OK head--not bad so far. Too sweet, grainy and vegitative--bad, bad, bad. JoeM500 (1908) - Crown Point, Indiana, USA - SEP 7, 2004
Clear golden yellow with a fizzy white head. Grainy nose and first sip but very watery aftertaste. Slightly grassy at the tail end. jaymobrown (1845) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - AUG 31, 2004
Skunky rubber. Clear yellow. Thin. Absolutely no taste, which I guess might not be a bad thing.
