500ml bottle. I purchased this beer thinking it was a British import only to find it was from a small brewery not far away in Fredericton, New Brunswick. I went to the Picaroons website and I was highly impressed as every day has a log book per batch with all the notes on the status of that particular batch with all the details. How cool!. My batch was 1124 brewed by Jordan Trethewey. Nice firm head on pour with natural gold hue body. Aroma a little soapy. Not too harsh for a micro with some citrus notes to it. Fresh and pleasing.

Appearance: clear medium gold with one finger of medium-dense off-white head diminishing gradually to a thin skim, moderate lacing. (3/5) Aroma: grainy malt, grass, earth, hint of plastic/band-aid. (5/10) Taste: moderate sweet, mild bitter. (6/10) Palate: medium body, moderate carbonation, medium duration mild bitter finish. (3/5) A very uninspired Blonde. The brewer claims Cascade hops, in addition to Maris Otter malt, but it feels very earthy to me. To make matters worse, there’s just a hint of burnt rubber / band-aid. I really can’t see any reason to recommend this - unless, of course, your other choices are macro lagers. (12/20) 6/10 #ryansbooze ryansbooze.com

Gold pour with white head and lace. Aroma is light maltiness with a touch of spicy floral notes. Flavor is light bready malt and solid floral notes. A touch fizzy on a light bodied beer. but good

Hazy golden color with a low amount of activity. Faint foamy white 1 finger head, lasting around 5 minutes, making faint legs. Flavors of caramel, roasted grains, buttery, faint lemon, scotch, toffee, a hint floral, noble spices.Slick full body with prickly zesty carbonation. Light to medium strength finish with a lingering roasted grains sweetness with a dash of caramel, and a citrusy tongue feel. Very nice roasted feel with delicious burnt sugars. Balanced sharpness coupled with pleasant sugars. Feels bready and like butterscotch, cookies and a little grassy. Overall very good craft with great freshness and quality ingredients. Tasty flavors and a nice body. Well rounded and intensified ideal summer ale.

500ml bottle. Nose is toffee and light floral hop. Flavour is light+ sweet toffee with minimal bitterness. Medium creamy mouth with average carbonation. Fairly one dimensional.

500ml bottle Golden pour, big, frothy white head. Ok cereals, no hops. Bready, slightly yeasty, medium bitterness. Meh, run of the mill blonde.

Thanks to my friend Nic for bringing this back from his trip at the brewery. Pours a slight hazy golden-amber colour with a big frothy warm-yellow cap with good retention and lacing. Apple-like aromas from the malt with spicy notes and very mild honey. The taste is a mix of the apples with the mild grass from the hops. Quite a nice blonde ale that has loads of apples, but not on the sweet-side and definitely not cider. Not sure if this is from the fact that it is old, but I like it.

Poured from a bottle. Pours yellow-orange, little head but okay lacing. Some spice in the aroma, but I lose it on the taste. Citrus, some bitterness.
