A hearty meat ‘n’ potatoes Irish-style ale. Its malty sweetness coats the palate like candy, and is offset in the finish with spicy Goldings hops.

Mildred’s Irish Ale is the Irish Red dry-hopped with local Goldings hops from Southan Farms.

Pours a clear dark red with a nice ig cream off white head that leaves tons of lace. Smell is some caramel and sweet fruit with a hint of roasted malt. Taste is a huge hit of sweet roasted malt up front with a bit of fruit on the finish and a very faint hop presence. Great beer.

On tap at the Old Triangle in Moncton. Pours a dark red colour with a fairly decent head. Taste of caramel, citrus. Not bad at all.

Bottle 500 ml
Aroma yeasty with sweet sugar, cherry, vanilla with sourness on sides. 5-
Appearance gentle haze on red-copper, hint of brown. Large tanned , rocky top. Sparse lace. 3+
Flavor and Palate : medium light bodied. Caramel, hops with sour cherry. Strong astringency found with nail polish like notes. Hint of pepper on top. Poor.

500ml bottle. Not a strong aroma, butterscotch and caramel malt. Poured a dark ruby red with an ample sponge toffee coloured head. Fair amount of lacing. Taste is caramel malt with a little herbal/citrus hop and some earthy bitterness on the finish. Body is creamy, but a little thinner than I’d prefer. Overall, an acceptable example of the style.

500 ml bottle from NB Liquor. Pours ruby brown in colour, with slightly off-white head in colour, leaving tonnes of lacing. Aroma and taste are british yeast and malt.

Spab (3973) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 3, 2010
500 ml bottle from Alcool NB Liquor. Pours a clear rubyish brown with smallish tan head. Very caramely aroma, somewhat toasty and nutty. Sweet, slightly toasty caramel taste with modest nuttiness. Light bitterness in finish. Decent.

mabel (9246) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 7, 2010
[2874-20100521] 500mL bottle. Mild poop and dirty grass aroma. Slightly hazy, dark red brown body with a medium-lasting foamy yellow head. More poop and dirt and grass in the flavour that is mostly grainy. Medium body. Average.
