Berley31 (230) - New Brunswick, CANADA - JUL 6, 2009
Bottle. Poured with an average-sized, creamy, light-brown head that diminished over time to about one-finger. Good lacing. Body was a dark-red color, and slightly hazy. Aroma was of toasted malt... nice. Light to medium body on the palate, and slightly thinner than I had expected, but still with some oiliness/creaminess to it. Sweet, malty flavor with a short finish... quite good, but not as impressive as expected from its appearance. A good representation of its class. EnSiFeRuM (501) - Quebec, CANADA - OCT 16, 2008

Pours a dark ruby red that’s fairly opaque with a thick tan head.
The aroma is heavy on roasted coffee beans, celery, burnt cookies, and caramel.
The mouthfeel is smooth, with low-medium carbonation. It’s a bit thicker than most Irish Reds.
The taste is coffee, sweet caramel and a mild bitter finish. The Kent hops are there, but not as much as I’d like. MrManning (2009) - Hamilton, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 2, 2007
Pours deep ruby amber with a good beige froth sittin atop. Nice earthy malty aromas, burnt sugars, some coffee, slightly roasty. Very nice roasty flavours, subtle coffee, earthy, some bitterness, sweetness follows. Good full earthy finish, lotsa coffee.A nice example!
