I suppose not a great example of a "Dry" Stout but a fine black bevvie all the same. Quite pitch with a tan head smelling of maple, chocolate, roasted malt and coffee. Taste is coffee, sweet and tangy berries and makes for a sweet start to a finish that is bitter. It has a medium mouthfeel and is none too oily. johnnnniee (4411) - Bedford, New Hampshire, USA - JUL 16, 2014
Bottle from the source.
Pours a solid dark brown with ruby highlights at the edges and a decent sized tan head that slowly dissipates to a ring on top. Aromas of dark and milk chocolate with lots of creamed coffee and bits of caramel and toffee to round it out. The flavor is rich chocolate and caramel with roasted creamed coffee and some light sugar and toffee to round it out. Medium body with a moderate level of carbonation, and a creamy silky mouthfeel. I was impressed with this brew, its a very nice stout. Maybe a bit more body than an Irish dry should have, but I enjoyed the heck out of it. Acebulf (6) - - MAY 30, 2014 does not count
UPDATED: SEP 10, 2014 Aroma is faint. Pours flat. Flavours of bitter chocolate and coffee, plus the taste that is present in about every Picaroons beer, which actually goes quite well with the style. Pleasant finish of coffee with soft bitterness. Overall, not a bad stout.
I will probably pick up some more. Hidden_Pooch (518) - Stratford, Prince Edward Island, CANADA - MAY 22, 2014
Bottle. Not really a huge fan if this stout. I found it had a lot of bitter roast to it and not a lot of chocolate flavour. Kind of a toasted acid coffee. I wasn’t a huge fan of the lighter mouth feel in my stout. Not horrible, but I would like to try again, just to make sure.

pours very dark brown with a minimal beige head, some retention and lacing. very mineral, earthy, strong ashtray notes, wild bacteria - the bad ones, roasted acidity. moderate carboantion, light body - weak, mineral and bitter coffee finish. rating is obviously biased by a bad infection, my first 1/20, that is - other parameters are rated as objectively as possible, i should say minus the poisonous infection. mega DP. I don't really know what the difference between taste and palate are. I love a good stout, and THIS is a good stout.

Large bottle from VITI @ The Met Liquor Store in New West. Pitch black, with a tan head. Malts on the nose. Tastes of well roasted malts, with some bitterness noted. Finish is bitter-sweet. A nice dry stout.

Not sure I like this part of the commercial description: "deviations may occur from batch to batch as we improvisationally wander through variations on the theme". This suggests that ratings may not mean much over time. I think they’re just being up front about something that many micro enterprises do, but don’t like to talk about.
