Tessic (1193) - Brantford, Ontario, - SEP 11, 2012
This stout poured a deep black colour with a med brown coloured head. To the nose there are scents of coffee, caramel, cocoa and a little vanilla. First sip was full flavoured with tastes of coffee, caramel and roasty malts. Finish was really burnt with black coffee flavours lingering.

cmacklin (1276) - Lethbridge, Alberta, CANADA - MAY 17, 2017
500ml bottle. Pours an opaque dark brown almost black with a medium, creamy, long lasting, tan head that laces nicely. Sweet aroma of roasted malt, dark chocolate, coffee and fudge. Sweet flavour of roasted malt, dark chocolate, molasses and fudge with a tart note in a dry, bitter coffee finish. Medium body with a creamy, oily texture and soft carbonation. Not bad.

piscator34 (2622) - Winnipeg, Manitoba, CANADA - MAY 9, 2016
Bottle. Black in colour with moderate carbonation. Aromas are of cold drip-brewed coffee and fruity English yeast. Flavors are of coffee, chalk, dried fruit, and a bit of pale malt. Light bodied with a mineral finish. I know it’s a dry stout, but even a hint of sweeter chocolate-vanilla on the palate would have improved things. Still pretty decent as is.

Listigovers (1278) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - APR 23, 2016
Black pour, decent smell, toasty. Tastes burrnt though, some.good roast but some off flavour as well, wood not in a good way. Just okay.

ljthiessen (1397) - Winnipeg, Manitoba, CANADA - APR 20, 2016
Bottle. Nearly black pour with a mocha head. Aroma is roasty chocolate and coffee, fairly rich and not overly bitter. Taste is pretty light, malty chocolate, a little roasty, kinda thin, finishes dry. Pretty decent for the style, but nothing outstanding.

northropfrye (3677) - Steinbach, Manitoba, CANADA - APR 14, 2016
Dark body brown head, some soapy lacing. Roasty malts and a bit of lactose on the nose. Taste is semi-bitter, roasty malts, quite dry. Mediocre palate. Over all a pretty basic dry stout.

Bierdimpfe (640) - Quebec, CANADA - APR 14, 2016
Opaque black color with no visible activity. Creamy light brown 2 finger head, lasting around 15 minutes, with strong legs. Aromas of butterscotch and sweet bread. Flavors of molasses, toffee, dark berries, coffee, cocoa, nuts and herbal spices. Some sweetness and a well intensified bitter taste with a strong smoky roasted earthy feel, but a little metallic. Milky slick medium body with average carbonation. Strong finish of medium length, ending with an dry bitter earthy herbal spicy feel, not too harsh, and a slight syrupy coating. Overall a good craft with pleasant flavors, well balanced and intensified, and good freshness being not too flat.

reebtogi (6350) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - FEB 28, 2016
500ml bottle pours black in color with a finger of light brown head that leaves some spotted lacing on the glass. Aroma is roasted grains and chocolate with a bit of coffee. Taste is a roasted grain and coffee bitterness with a chocolate malty sweetness. Finishes a little dry. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Overall, a well crafted brew that is balanced and tasty.

DomD (307) - Halifax, Nova Scotia, CANADA - NOV 28, 2015
Bottle. Muted aroma of coffee. Pours black with tan head. Taste is light to medium bitter. Medium to full bodied with a slick texture and soft carbonation. A decent stout.

jksipa (1007) - Newmarket, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 17, 2015
Very dark pour with no head, just a khaki ring. Nose is maple, chocolate, coffee and vanilla. Light bitter chocolate with a medium roast nuttiness. Flat oily mouth , quite dry. I hope it is just this bottle that is flat. Need to revisit.
