Having this imported pint now in February. First had it last summer on vacation. They say right on the bottle they might vary batch to batch. Well if they’re looking for a keeper this would prolly be it. I’m trying to think of an IPA that is DEFINITELY better than this, but it is right up there with my favourites. In the summer I wasn’t as taken aback, but I still loved it. Nice syrupy mouthfeel, with an intense bitterness. A lotta bitter actually, nice pine outburst, and medicinal hop punch. The IBUS must be high. Too bad we don’t know. BTW I really love the picture for this on this site; a bottle holder sculpted freeform out of the neighbouring surroundings of the brewery i can assume. True Maritime form. YIPPEE IPA!

500-ml bottle, purchased from a PEI liquor store while vacationing on the island, pours slightly hazy orange with trace of off-white head, lacing. Aroma: brown sugar, peaches. Flavor: malt-forward (toffee foremost), dried apricots, canned peaches in syrup, some residual piney hops. Mouthfeel: medium-bodied. While billed as an "East Coast-style IPA," it’s more of a malt-forward West Coast style.

caramel, toast, grass, citrus, earthy, alcohol, cooked vegetables, Ovrall a pleasant drinking IPA beer that sits in my top five lists thus far.

On tap at Festibiere. From hazy memory, I remember grassy hops with faint tropical fruit notes, biscuity, caramel malt. More than anything I remember thinking, what the hell is the point of this stuff? It’s such a pedestrian IPA I don’t see what the p--holy crap that girl has no bra on, who cares if this beer ain’t great, I still love this place.

deyholla (12033) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - OCT 4, 2016
On tap at John Browns. Pours a clear amber gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges and laces. Aroma has lots of earthy grain and grass with some bread and biscuit underlying. Flavor has earthy grains and biscuit with some grass coming through.

50cl bottle at the Rossmount Inn, St Andrews NB. A rather cloudy amber pour with a ring of head; malty taste; with a fruity bitterness. Rather inspiring and disappointing.

Tranquillity (2484) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 13, 2016
Bottled at the bicycle thief, Halifax. Hazy orange body, medium small bubbled white head. The aroma is orange, cucumber and some spice I quite can’t place. The taste is slightly watery, but overall very citrusy and not overly hoppy.

500 ml bottle. Pours a clear copper-golden with a short lived white head. Aroma is malt, lemon, grapefruit, caramel. Flavor is caramel, malt, brown sugar. Finish is grapefruit, lemon, lime. Medium body, soft mouthfeel, weak carbonation.

Bottle. 500ml. Pours a hazy orange with red-copper highlights and a faint green edge. Small disappearing head. Aroma is of grassy hops, malt, faint sourness and a hint of butterscotch. Taste is more grassy noble hops, also mandarin citrus (Summit?) adding a west coast note to the advertised east coast style. Again some sourness on the tongue though not unpleasant. Resinous piney zing on the finish.

chinchill (5226) - South Carolina, USA - JUN 4, 2016
From a 500 ml bottle purchased and consumed in Nova Scotia. Looks good, having a particularly fine head, but the aroma and the flavor are not appealing. I believe this is mostly due tot he particular mix of earthy hops used, but the bottle may be a bad sample. Disappointing.

Lubiere (14133) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 28, 2016
A golden ipa with a thin white head. In aroma, nice Caramel malt with light grassy floral hops, grapefruit pulp, treacle, pleasant. In mouth, a nice biscuit malt with grassy floral hops, grapefruit pulp, treacle, light butterscotch, pleasant. On tap at Festibière de Gatineau 2016.
