Nice clear mahogany with a bit of head. Aroma of roast, toast, and coffee, with some bitter chocolate notes. Taste it roasty, toasty, and so damn drinkable that I finished half a glass in one swallow. Theydon_Bois (20486) - Hazlemere, the lower Xhitlerns, Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - JUN 22, 2016

Cask conditioned handpump Market Porter London 16/05/13. A near black beer with an off-white head. Light roast throughout. Very mild indeed. Edging towards sweet. A bit of veg. Quite plain as milds were a few years ago but nowadays milds have lots more about them for better or worse. cgarvieuk (25744) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - MAY 17, 2010

Cask in the market porter. Alround rating: Some interesting rum and raisin dark chocolate character, with a small tartness, however the roasted barley adds a roasty bitterness and gives a dry finish. RichardW (1813) - Carlisle, Cumbria, ENGLAND - MAY 18, 2009
Cask, Bacchus, Newcastle. A slightly thinner mild than I like, but still, a tasty brew. Slightly juicy, a hint of grain and a bit of smokiness in there. I’d like to have seen a bit more body to it though. reakt (950) - Greater London, ENGLAND - MAY 14, 2009
Cask handpull @ The Market Porter. Deep brown with a thin beige head. Nice roasty malts, a little choc, coffee, subtle ash and earthyness. Extremely drinkable with lots of flavor for 3.5%. bobinlondon (1297) - Harrow, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUN 21, 2008
Handpulled cask at Lower Red Lion, St. Albans. Almost black with a proud head made up of large bubbles. Very bitter for a mild with a grainy, roasted flavour. fonefan (50762) - VestJylland, DENMARK - JUN 11, 2008
