Cask @ Market Porter. Golden yellow, good head. Cereal resin aroma. Creamy elderflower mat flavour. Smooth. Very traditional cask golden ale.

On gravity at Matlock & Dales beer festival - pale golden with a frothy clean white head. Light lacing, good retention. Aroma of freshly squeezed lemon juice and grass. Taste is earthy, lemon and grass with some coriander seed and a light bitterness in the finish. Light to medium body, oily mouthfeel, soft to light carbonation.

Half, shared with Finn, cask at Market Porter. Headless. Near-clear, golden body. Smell of bland citrus fruits. Sweet citrus fruits in the flavour character together with a note of juicy malts. Restrained bittersweet tail. Very average (London, 04.11.2012).

Cask gravity, Solihull 09. So pale it’s hardly there, dabs of lace. Bag of tropical fruit and biscuits aroma. Passion fruit, white grape, tangerine, blah blah blah. Beautiful fresh vanilla ice cream and malted milk sweetness, big wring of bittering pithy fruit. That’s your lot. Beer of The Festival.

Cask Handpump at the Crown Inn, Stockport 06/10/2007 Fruity aroma. Clear golden coloured hoppy fruity and sweet on the palate with some bitterness in a crisp and creamy dry finish.

downender (8891) - Bristol, Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - OCT 7, 2008
Cask-conditioned at the Bag ONails, Bristol 7/10/08. Golden coloured with a slight, but lacy white head. Hoppy aroma with floral, pine and citrus notes and some accompanying sweetness. Flavour started with some sweetish, digestive like malt before the hops took over again, with some refreshing juiciness and a long dry, citrus finish. Great stuff.
