Bottle to glass. Golden, clear, medium white head. Neutral hop aroma, slight hint of butter and yeast. Taste - sweet, but since it’s a bit watery, the sweetness is just the right amount. Medium carbonation. Thin body, but with a lasting and pleasant finish. Underrated enjoyable pale lager.

RihardsF (86) - LATVIA - JAN 8, 2014
Pours amber light, crystal clear, with white foam. Aroma of hops. Taste is bitter from hops a bit floral, then some sweetness of malts are noticeable and in the aftertaste also some bite of hops. Quite thin body. Nice lager, thou a bit over carbonated.

Interesting Beer and extra plus for traditional Taste. I Would Say it has a Taste of So called soviet beers. Sweet, coriander (rubber) and basement. Taste trip back to 70’s with modern purity and freshness.

visionthing (5494) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - JUL 15, 2013
UPDATED: APR 16, 2014 Better fresh on tap, quite decent lager. 50cl bottle from Riga Airport. Pours clear golden with a white head. Weak malty aroma with notes of herbs, grass and alcohol. Medium sweet with a herbal bitterness. Slightly unpleasant and not far from the usual pale lagers, but slightly more flavour and bitterness, and more alcohol. Not my cup of tea. (3-3-4-3-8)

larsga (7625) - Oslo, NORWAY - APR 28, 2013
Small white head. Clear yellow body with carbonation. Mealy herbal aroma with grassy mealy notes. Dry-sweet herbal grassy taste with spicy notes. Mid-bodied. Sharpish, coarseish mouthfeel. Dryish herbal fruity aftertaste with spicy earthy grassy notes. Not bad, but a little boring. (0.3l draft at Citi Laiki, Riga.)

zenkis (865) - Ogre, LATVIA - SEP 27, 2012
UPDATED: FEB 2, 2013 Color - pale, golden with small, fast white cap diminishing in spotty layer. Mild malt, overwhelming hops in aroma, but poor intense. Taste is bitter good, min sweet, no sourness.Below medium body, watery in mouthfeel, min dry finish. This one with "Bauskas Gaišais" is one of two LV lagers who is not "typical" in my opinion -loaded with some aroma hops also, not grassy as mayority. Worth attention.

omhper (25541) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - AUG 5, 2012
Draught at Alaus Stacija, Riga. (as Piebalgas Nefiltrets, 5.7%) Hazy golden, creamy head. Aroma of sweet malt with slight notes of butter and jelly. Sweet and solid bodied with firm, well rounded mouthfeel. Sugar and salt before a spicy bitterish finish.
