@Basunen 17-7-5: ingen större smakupplevelse men funkar till mat. Lite malt och lite bröd. That’s it. Rotin (1965) - Neratovice, CZECH REPUBLIC - NOV 1, 2016

Bottle. Clear hay-yellow body, medium white head. Aroma and taste of malts; sweet, without off-flavors. Medium body and carbonation.
Acceptable, although it’s sweet nothing.
Pours clear pale yellow with a medium white head. Aromas of yeast, mold, dank cellar, rye bread, minerals. Taste is watery, with mineral notes and not much else.

Very watery, with some taste, that could be described as potato cellar taste (some years ago it was very characteristic defect of Piebalgas alus). Hard to describe, but you will know, when you taste it. Also, some ’’plastic’’ aftertaste. larsga (7690) - Oslo, NORWAY - OCT 20, 2015
Medium offwhite head. Clear yellow body. Faint, vague mealy aroma. Sweetish herbal softly resiny taste with spicy notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, mealy mouthfeel. Dryish herbal spicy aftertaste with grassy rubbery waxy notes. It’s OK. Grew on me a little as I drank. (0.5l bottle, from Alus Tirgus, Riga.) ectuohy27 (1321) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - AUG 17, 2015
Very typical PL for the region, with a bit more hop character (of the slightly metallic variety, even in a glass bottle) than usual. Nothing much to complain about--there’s more flavor per ounce here, no doubt about it (possibly due to the lack of pasteurization), and not many obvious off notes or adjuncts, but there’s still nothing to recommend it zenkis (875) - Ogre, LATVIA - AUG 8, 2015
Thick bodied, malt forwarded lager with intense presence of corn in flavor, casual grassy/straw hops in aroma. Medium to light bitterness, average+ sweetness, no sour aftertaste. For highly drinkable beer it seems too full bodied. Light amber to dark golden in color, medium, white, frothy top, min lasing. FatPhil (17515) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - JUL 17, 2015
500ml bottle - thanks Marduk!
Starchy malty aroma. Pleasant orange, small tight head. Simple grainy taste, some slight oniony spiciness typical in piebalgas beers. Easy quaffer, but a pleasant sweetness fills the palate. Slightly starchy finish too, but not unpleasant.
