Golden color, good white head. Sweet malty and bready nose. Medium-bodied, malty with hints of diacetyl. Malty-bready aftertaste. Typical East European lager.
Light gold colour with a lively sparkle and rich head. Rich hoppy aroma (fruity, earthy) with scattered yeast notes. Sweet, very clean pale malt notes intermingle with fruity, earthy hop. Great idea, but the flavour is too light! Needs about 10-15 IBUs more to be relevant. FatPhil (15964) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - SEP 5, 2010

5 Initially almost nothing, as the keggy head smothered all the aroma. Getting close, there was some dusty hops, and perhaps some ginger. As it warms, there are lots of herby grassy hops
3 Rich gold, large light white head.
5 A full grassy and herby hoppy body. Packed full of grains, but also other vegetable matter too. Quite bizarre, but very much Piebalgas.
3+ Soft palate, decent carbonations. Finish very hoppy - a touch papery, but green too. Vegetal in places too.
9 A well crafted and interesting beer, but not to my taste so much. Anna adds "Only a little bit shit in the taste".
Clear light golden body with a big and rocky white head. Aroma is Germanic and grassy hoppy, with some lemon as well. Taste is mild up front, bland even. Midway, some floral qualities show up, along with hint of lemon. Finish is a near disappearance of flavor.

A hazy golden lager with a thick white head. In aroma, a stricking maple water aroma, woody, a bit of corn. In mouth, a crisp malt with sweet light vanilla, a bit cloying, with definite cardboard notes, signs of oxidation. Tasted Jan. 2007. faroeviking (10838) - FAROE ISLANDS - FEB 2, 2008
Bottle. Pours a golden colour with a medium short lasting white head. Aroma of grains and malt. Thin mouthfeel. The flavour is a bit sweet with malt, grains and some bitter hops. Sigmund (7390) - Tau, NORWAY - AUG 5, 2007
500 ml bottle, bought in Riga. ABV is 4.6%. Is this beer possibly named after the notorious liar Baron von Münchausen? Pale golden colour, large and lasting head. Fairly malty sweetish aroma with notes of butterscotch and honey. The flavour is also quite sweet - too sweet for a pale lager, but reasonably malty with slightly metallic hops in the finish. Drinkable, but to call it a GREAT beer would be a lie, worthy of Baron von Münchausen! KnutAlbert (6754) - Oslo, NORWAY - MAR 27, 2008
Bottle in Riga.
A whiff of boiled veg her, but the beer is certainly not bad - cereals with grassy hops in the finish. Very decent for a lager of this strength! dmac (6203) - Toms River, New Jersey, USA - DEC 10, 2007
500 ml bottle purchased at Spirits RB. Pours a clear gold with a medium sized frothy whte head, man a Duvel glass tulip makes everything look good. Musty aroma of grains and perhaps a slight touch of rice. Medium to light bodied with lively carbonation. An initial metallic flavor fades away after a few sips leaving a mostly bready taste with a bitter finish. I am proud to say that I am only the second person to rate this this year., go me.
