Draft on tap at the brewpub (Chicago, IL). Glad to see this one back again. Pours a deep glowing orange gold hue, gentle haziness, flaming fury glow with frothy bright white head atop. Decent layer and decent ringer laces ok. Aromas are pithy and bitter grapefruit, zesty and dry, a touch tart with lemons, florals, earth and a mellow cereal and bready malt support. Crisp, clean, grapefruit driven with a subtle tropical waft. Initial is light bodies, spritzy and pithy with bitter grapefruit, melon cool sweetness and decent floral bitter kick working the body. A nice fruity flutter, cleaner light malt body makes these pretty easy to put back. Some soapiness, florals, dryness. A kiss of bubnlegum and tropical allure is fleeting as a pleasant but not overwhelming bitter fruity symbiosis presses on into the finish. Fresh, fruity and bitter. This one is quite a sessioner. Clean, dry, gentle melon and tropical wafts. Trendy, well constructed, clean. A great pour, alluring nose and clean sufficiently bitter beer that is frezh, fruity, really a treat. dinkle50 (1596) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAR 7, 2015
Hazy pale pour. Thing head. Big time citrus aroma. Taste is full of citrus and pine. Nice bitter finish. Not much yeast flavor. Grain is pretty hidden, maybe two row and a hint of caramel. Slightly earthy. Very easy drinking and a light mouth. drewbeerme (3921) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - FEB 15, 2015
really great new apa from piece, nice juicy and tropical hop profile, toasty malt bill, very clean and seemless. this and daisy cutter are by far the best local apas i’ve had. Christpuncher (3215) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - FEB 5, 2015
