Sampled from the tap at 2011 FOBAB. Poured a hazy deep golden amber with a near white head that dissipated to the edges. Aroma was very sweet with sweet grains, cereal, caramel and a good amount of butter. Flavor was similarly sweet with a bit of an off putting butter note. Not too enjoyable. Draft at FoBAB. One of the most memorable for how awful it was. Pours a deep brown with an offwhite head. Nose is a smack in the face of butterscotch and rancid butter. some spice in the background, but I couldn’t get past the butter bomb here. On tap at Piece. Their first new beer that I had seen in a while. The server said it was a barrel aged Rye. Pours brown with a tan head. Light aroma of wood, sweet malt, caramel. Decent flavor, didn’t taste much rye or flavoring from the barrels. Actually had a fair amount of carbonation. Decent.
