Lubiere (13905) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 4, 2014
A dark brown stout with a thin brown head. In aroma, sweet caramel chocolate malt with light butterscotch. In mouth, a sweet fruity chocolate malt with light coffee notes, a bit cloying. On tap at brewery.

crossovert (12929) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - APR 5, 2015
Draft. Dark brown pour. Nice dry smokey element to go with some coffee. Nice little stout.

deyholla (11602) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - DEC 18, 2010
On tap at the brewpub. Poured a dark brown with a grayish brown head that dissipated completely. Aroma was full of roasted malt, dark bread and other dark grains. Flavor was similar with a bit of oat coming out, but mainly dark grains and roasted malts dominate the beer.

kaser (6312) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - OCT 24, 2014
Full flavor and full body on a lower ABV beer. Well done. Black thick pour from draft at Piece. Tiny tan head. Oily oatmeal sweet and vanilla coffee tastes. Roasty aroma. Very good

burg326 (5482) - Florida, USA - AUG 5, 2012
On draft at brewpub, pours a dark brown, almost black color, aromas of roasted malt, oats, and some light chocolate. Flavors are the same, light on the palate, a nice sessionable stout overall.

BrewDad (5328) - Olympia, Washington, USA - JUL 17, 2012

at Piece Brewing - Really easy drinking stout. Dark black tan head this was a very nice beer.

MrChopin (4304) - Baltimore, Maryland, USA - NOV 23, 2011
Draft at Piece as "Headless". Near black sepia color, thin white head with spotty top. Lightly dusty oatmeal nose, nice attenuation with roast that dominates the light chocolate. Flavor shows a bit more sweetness, watery though a bit more chocolate as well. Carbonation a bit high, draws attention to sugars in finish, though still moderately dry.

3.7
Frank (4193) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - FEB 27, 2010
Black, or rather, deep brown. Dark tan head leaves lace behind in fine sheets. Mocah nose along w/ a bit of grain husks and a very slight hint of tart cherry. Rich, smooth roasted barley flavor implies chocolate to the point you almost imagine there’s some vanilla in there. very lightly tart w/ a bit of bitterness to balance the slight sweetness. Medium bodied but w/ that soft oatmeal slickness despite mildly prickly carbonation.

3.4
HonkeyBra (4044) - Lemont, Illinois, USA - JUL 3, 2009
Growler from the brewery. Dark, pretty much black pour with off white head that lingers a bit. Aroma of chocolate, coco wheat, Flavor is chocolate with some roast and a dry, oatmeal finish. Nice beer to sit and drink on a summer night.
