on tap at piece.... pours a deep dark and murky caramel brown with a moderate light tan head.... aroma of sweet fruit. caramlem malt, with a slight tart cherry aftertone...flavors along the lines of a brown ale, generally sweet, with a modicum of tartness in the finish. not too assertive nor does it have overly distinguishing characteristics. pretty drinkable but not all that special despite the name. Another from Piece’s new line up of Barrel Aged beers. On tap @ Piece. Served a little too cold so I had to let it warm up a bit. Pours dark brown with a thin tan head. Mild aroma, a little tart/sour, some malt and not much else I could notice. Overall, I didn’t really know what to think of this beer or what they were going for. It had a tart, dry finish, and was also a little sour. At the same time I thought it finished a little smokey. All sorts of flavors, just didn’t know how they were supposed to combine.
