On tap at Piece. Pours a lightly hazy golden orange with a medium sized white head. Huge citrus and pine, nice pineapple notes. Yummy. Hoppy with a big caramel malt flavor. Long slow grapefruit finish over some subtle caramel tones. This was really nice. danielcurtis81 (1519) - San Diego, California, USA - APR 27, 2010
Served on tap at Piece. The appearance is a golden orange with a nice white head. The flavors and aromas are full of great grapefruit and orange rind, a real nice balance of sweet and bitter. Mouth is medium to full with a nice carbonated. A real nice surprise! bhensonb (15094) - Woodland, California, USA - APR 23, 2010
Tap at the brewpub. Pours amber with a white head. Big citrus/fruit aroma. Med body/sharpish carbonation. Flavor is citrus/floral/resin? Not sure about the resin. Lots and lots of hop. Malt is pleasantly submerged. brewblackhole (1588) - Muskego, Wisconsin, USA - APR 19, 2010
Aroma pretty much a blower right out of a hop bag, overpowering the malting , seemed to get better after every sniff, flavor while still extremely resiony /citrus hops had more caramel evident then you would have expected from the aroma, heavy hopping caused an abrupt drying in the finish. Doesnt have that purly powerful gunner hop aroma of say a Three Floyds, but truly one of the best non-bottled Imp Ipas I’ve had holdenn (2116) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - APR 18, 2010
On tap @ piece. Fresh hops citrus doughy caramel malts. It seemed really sweet at first but the sweet malts and bitter hops balance out. Bitter tropical fruit, grapefruit, and grassy hops Creamy sweet body. Solid.

Had this one on tap @ Piece.... an excellent DIPA overall.... not too sweet, not too bitter and this relatively high ABV is masked very well by the other flavors involved. Definitely worth trying if you’re in town when they’ve got it on draft. Very very tasty! Dogbrick (12936) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - MAR 31, 2010
On draught at the brewpub. This brew is a hazy ruddy orange color with a medium off-white head that dissipates steadily. Citrusy hops aroma with notes of malt and caramel. Rich body with flavors of hops, grapefruit, sweet malt and a bit of pine. The finish is resiny hops with a lingering bitterness left behind. Good all around. msante79 (2225) - Mount Prospect, Illinois, USA - MAR 2, 2010
UPDATED: MAR 3, 2010 On tap at Piece. Pours dark hazy burnt orange with off-white head. Aromas of dank hops, citrus, tropical fuits, sweet caramel and some malt. Flavor has tons of citrus, sweet fruits, bitter hops, some caramel, and solid malt backbone. Finishes bitter and citrusy. This was a truly solid IIPA. Worth the trip to Piece alone. Piece seems to have about a dozen IIPAs but they do a good job on all of them so no complaints. Hazy orange color. Filled to the brim so no head but it does leave a good bit of lacing on the side of the glass. Tremendous hoppy nose. My guess is loads of amarillo. There’s lots of sweet orange and a slight floral overtone. Slightly fruity sweet but balanced by a firm earthy bitterness. Light to medium bodied, esp. for a higher gravity beer, w/ vigorous carbonation to help dry things out a bit. Another nice, fruity hop-accented beer from Piece. They get more attention for their wheats but they do these as well as anyone. JaBier (7871) - Capital City, Ohio, USA - JAN 2, 2010
On tap at Piece. Opaque orange pour with a thin off-white head. Orange and grapefruit aroma with a touch of sweet malt. Tangy orange flavor with some malt and a bitter grapefruit finish that is nicely rounded. Very well executed beer, and it doesn’t surprise me a bit coming from these guys.
