Tap at the brewpub. Pours amber with a white head. Big citrus/fruit aroma. Med body/sharpish carbonation. Flavor is citrus/floral/resin? Not sure about the resin. Lots and lots of hop. Malt is pleasantly submerged. BeerandBlues2 (13304) - Escondido, California, USA - JUN 12, 2011
Tap. Pours copper/amber with a medium, fizzy white head, medium retention with good lacing. Aroma is medium malt (bread, cookie, caramel), heavy hops (floral, citrus, pine), and medium fruity esters (apple/pear). Flavor is malt with heavy hops and light alcohol. Medium body, warmth, and carbonation with a dry finish. Dogbrick (13006) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - MAR 31, 2010
On draught at the brewpub. This brew is a hazy ruddy orange color with a medium off-white head that dissipates steadily. Citrusy hops aroma with notes of malt and caramel. Rich body with flavors of hops, grapefruit, sweet malt and a bit of pine. The finish is resiny hops with a lingering bitterness left behind. Good all around. deyholla (11597) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - MAY 15, 2011
On tap at the brewpub. Poured a clear orangish gold with a white head that dissipated completely. Aroma was full of hops with resinous grapefruit, a bit of light citrus and a backing sweet grains. Flavor began with citrus but quickly became full of grapefruit and resinous pine with a sweet grain backbone. j12601 (11573) - Poughkeepsie, New York, USA - APR 29, 2010
On tap at Piece. Pours a lightly hazy golden orange with a medium sized white head. Huge citrus and pine, nice pineapple notes. Yummy. Hoppy with a big caramel malt flavor. Long slow grapefruit finish over some subtle caramel tones. This was really nice.

On tap at Piece. Opaque orange pour with a thin off-white head. Orange and grapefruit aroma with a touch of sweet malt. Tangy orange flavor with some malt and a bitter grapefruit finish that is nicely rounded. Very well executed beer, and it doesn’t surprise me a bit coming from these guys. Draft at the brewpub. Deep bronze. Wicked piney aroma and a following viscous outdoorsy hoppiness. Wicked. (#3891, 5/6/2010) Frank (4190) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - FEB 27, 2010
Piece seems to have about a dozen IIPAs but they do a good job on all of them so no complaints. Hazy orange color. Filled to the brim so no head but it does leave a good bit of lacing on the side of the glass. Tremendous hoppy nose. My guess is loads of amarillo. There’s lots of sweet orange and a slight floral overtone. Slightly fruity sweet but balanced by a firm earthy bitterness. Light to medium bodied, esp. for a higher gravity beer, w/ vigorous carbonation to help dry things out a bit. Another nice, fruity hop-accented beer from Piece. They get more attention for their wheats but they do these as well as anyone. drewbeerme (3920) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - DEC 9, 2009
Draft at piece, pours hazed golden white head. Aroma has juicy red fruit, mango, pineapple, and grapfruit. Wow awesome nose!! Flavor is sweet caramel malt backbone with bitter grapefruit citus punch, mango and pinneapple finish. Med body, smooth finish. Wow, this is so f’n good! chibuck (3513) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAR 27, 2011
I had this on tap into a tasting glass at Piece. Its dark gold with a hint of orange good retention and lacing. The aroma is superlight for a dipa, a little piney hops, small grapefruit but thats it. The taste is really nice though, super easy to drink and flavorful not overpowering at all. If you want a smooth piney ipa, give this a shot.
