Draft at Piece. Pours looking a lot like Camel Toe, glowing orange with a fluffy, frothy off white head. Nose is fantastic, showcasing amarillo and probably some ahtanum. Apricot, peach, resin. On taste, it is more subdued than CT, but they dry-hopped the heck out of it giving it a smooth/soft bitterness that is thrust at you with a ton of tropical flavors from the late edition hops. Pretty spectacular IIPA. pantanap (3366) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - DEC 4, 2009
on tap at piece (12/4/09).... pours a medium orange caramel brown with a thin soapy/frothy white head. as it turns out, it is lighter in comparison to camel toe... aroma of bright tropical fruits, again similar to camel toe, with a sweet malt backbone... flavors of tropical hops, mainly mango and pineapple-like, with a mild citrus rind bitter finish. middle is predominantly filled with sweeter tones. as usual, piece create another well-balanced dipa. decent body with medium carbonation. when had side by side to camel toe, wack job was just slightly less bitter overall. i hold them both pretty high in regards with a slight edge to CT but this one is pretty damn good. puzzl (3258) - New York, New York, USA - JUN 30, 2010
Tap at the brewpub. Explosive grapefruit, tropical juices, lemon, cherry. Wow! Light body, screaming hop prowess, with a perfectly light bitterness to make this juicy enough even your kids would drink it. No sugar to be found. Perfect West Coast IPA, bursting with freshness. Can’t ask for much more than this in a IIPA. msante79 (2225) - Mount Prospect, Illinois, USA - MAR 2, 2010
UPDATED: MAR 3, 2010 On tap at Piece. Pours dark hazy burnt orange with off-white head. Aromas of dank hops, citrus, tropical fuits, sweet caramel and some malt. Flavor has tons of citrus, sweet fruits, bitter hops, some caramel, and solid malt backbone. Finishes bitter and citrusy. This was a truly solid IIPA. Worth the trip to Piece alone. holdenn (2116) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - APR 18, 2010
On tap @ piece. Fresh hops citrus doughy caramel malts. It seemed really sweet at first but the sweet malts and bitter hops balance out. Bitter tropical fruit, grapefruit, and grassy hops Creamy sweet body. Solid.

On tap on Saturday. Poured a medium and clear amber color with a very large sized off white head. Aromas of citrus -peels-, floral, a little earthy, and light caramel. Tastes of citrus -same peels-, caramel, and pine.

Another Double IPA from Piece. Pours orange with an off white head. Hop bomb all the way, filled with citrus aroma and flavor. Nice sweetness to try to balance, but the bitterness really wins. I didn’t have the Camel Toe this time, but would like to compare right next to each other. I remember liking Camel Toe more. brewblackhole (1588) - Muskego, Wisconsin, USA - APR 19, 2010
Aroma pretty much a blower right out of a hop bag, overpowering the malting , seemed to get better after every sniff, flavor while still extremely resiony /citrus hops had more caramel evident then you would have expected from the aroma, heavy hopping caused an abrupt drying in the finish. Doesnt have that purly powerful gunner hop aroma of say a Three Floyds, but truly one of the best non-bottled Imp Ipas I’ve had danielcurtis81 (1519) - San Diego, California, USA - APR 27, 2010
Served on tap at Piece. The appearance is a golden orange with a nice white head. The flavors and aromas are full of great grapefruit and orange rind, a real nice balance of sweet and bitter. Mouth is medium to full with a nice carbonated. A real nice surprise! JAF737300 (1291) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAY 14, 2011
Awesome DIPA. Pours orange amber with minimally no head. Big hit of citrus that drives into a complex line of citrus and spice but without anyone out balancing the other.
